Interim Dean, Professor of Entrepreneurship. Aspiring to be an Innovative Leader in Higher Education
What an amazing evening celebrating Entrepreneurship on our campus! Our inaugural “Founders 1st steps” event brought over 60 aspiring entrepreneurs together to hear about our programming from Lauren Smith, MBA and Emma Fleck. They heard from entrepreneurs such as James Tierney, our own student entrepreneurs, Jensen Duke, Elizabeth Smith and Kimoy Reid and learned about the financial resources available through the Troutman Entrepreneurship fund (Jameson Troutman, Jennifer Troutman). We have so much to look forward to in building the entrepreneurial spirit Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University and Susquehanna University

Yesterday in Reid Tileston’s Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition class at BYU, we were lucky to have Andrew Blickstein and Sean Tagge join us as panelists. It was fascinating to hear their perspective. Key takeaways: - Your peers will be your greatest teachers. - Deliberately find your strengths and lean into them. - Finding a business to acquire is a grind.

Before You Pitch to an Investor... Do this Exercise First! Here is a key exercise I've shared with many founders and at pitch workshops. It's simple and effective way to rewire your Subconscious OS (TM) to level the playing field before you step foot in front of an investor. Give it a go and share your experience down below! P.S. Always appreciate Haley Huie and Josh Guter for giving me an audience with NC State Entrepreneurship Clinic's cohorts.
