Spain is changing! 🇪🇸🌱 According to a new survey published under the EU Smart Protein Project, 48% of Spanish consumers consume less meat than last year. With plant-based alternatives increasing in popularity, especially due to health and animal welfare concerns, meat consumers are shifting their eating habits to reduce meat consumption while adding plant-based alternatives to their diet. The survey was conducted by ProVeg International in collaboration with the University of Ghent and the University of Copenhagen.
