Pouring Beer Vs Pouring Wine When we pour beer, we always tilt the glass to reduce fizz formation and avoid spillage. But since still wine does not contain any fizz, you can pour it into your glass without having to tilt it. Even in the case of sparkling wines, you can pour it directly into the glass without tilting it, because you want to have a delicate mousse to form over your drink as it tastes delicious and looks incredible. Here's how you can perfect your wine pour: 1️⃣Place the wine glass on the table and resist the urge to pick it up in your hand. 2️⃣Hold the bottle by its base as it gives you a more stable grip and reduces the chances of spillage. 3️⃣Keep the neck of the bottle over the glass and tilt it gently for a steady pour. 4️⃣Give the bottle a little twist towards the end of the pour and pull it away in one smooth motion to avoid any dribbling. 5️⃣Always keep a napkin in your other hand to wipe the wine bottle's lip so that you can make a neat pour next time too. If you have large hands or don't have confidence in your grip, put your thumb in the indentation on the underside of the bottle, known as a punt, for a more confident grip. Share this video with your buddies and help them perfect their wine pour. Cheers! #sonalholland #masterofwine #beer #wine #winetips #alcoholtips #wineexpert #wine

How to host the perfect wine-drinking party: 1️⃣ Choose an exciting theme for the party like a renowned producer or different vintages of the same style of wine. 2️⃣ Keep your wine ready at its ideal serving temperature and make sure you are service-ready with clean glasses and functioning bottle openers. 3️⃣ Instead of serving wines you like, go for crowd-pleasers like a bubbly Prosecco, aromatic whites like Sauvignon Blanc or Reisling, intense and warm reds like an Argentinian Malbec or Australian Shiraz. 4️⃣ Serve appetizers and foods that will complement your wine and the theme for the evening. 5️⃣ Play some nice music or fun games like wine trivia or wine bingo to keep the energy levels high. Now, here are some things that a host should never do: Serving different wines to different people, saving the good bottles for your inner circle. A good host is always generous and treats everyone equally. Pouring less wine into your guests' glasses to make sure that it lasts through the evening. Instead, buy more wine beforehand. Making your guests wait for their first drink. Get the party started quickly! What makes you a great wine party host? Wine Business - Young Adults Find Restaurant Wine Lists Uninspiring Wine has low visibility and been pushed to the back of drink lists in casual restaurants and appears ‘boring and tired’, Young people described how wine is frequently listed towards the back of the beverage menu and looked boring and unappealing compared to the colorful photos and descriptions of cocktails and list of craft beers, which were organized by taste and bitterness profile #wine #wines #winebusiness #winelists #wineindustry #winebusiness #winemarket

While every other industry outside wine woke up to the need to create compelling digital experiences in the early 2010s, the wine world is still shaking off its slumber. Innovators like Jeff Gillis, get it. Today's consumers want more access to fun, social, educational experiences. Solutions that are more accessible and able to be tailored to different consumer interests beyond talking at them in tasting rooms. Moreover, they want to use digital experiences to enhance interpersonal relationships with friends and family, not distract them from it. If you still need to check out Jeff's Winelikes platform, you should. They are working on a similar principal to make learning about wine easier, more enjoyable, and more social for novices and experts alike. Their quizzes go beyond what Somm Says can deliver thru our digital tasting game by offering immersive quizzes that explore beyond the wine to the regions, grapes, and incredible people who produce it. Cheers to the mavericks like Jeff, who are trying to drag the stubborn wine industry to the digital water it desperately needs to survive.
The inspiration behind Winelikes is to encourage new wine drinkers to really immerse themselves into the world of wine- not just buy it. So ask a friend. Go out to dinner. Ask the sommelier what they suggest. Go to a wine store and tell them you have no idea where to begin. I believe that this will truly change the wine industry for the newbies. - Jeff Gillis Creator of the Winelikes App #winediscovery #winenovice #wineenthusiast #winedrinkers #wineinspiration #inspire #discoverwine #sommelier #winefriends #changewine #wineindustry #winenewbie

3 classic wine cocktails that everybody loves🍷 Wine is the gemini of alcohol. Not only does it pair just as well with fancy pasta (and chips and dip and chicken fingers and literally anything), but there’s so much you can do with it. Here are 3 Classic wine cocktails to get your head in the game. 1️⃣ Mimosa: This is a very popular cocktail served at Brunches, and it is made by mixing champagne and orange juice. 2️⃣ Bellini: Bellini is another very popular cocktail made by mixing peaches and Prosecco. Serve it in a chilled glass to make itrefreshing, along with a slice of peach as garnish. 3️⃣ Sangria: It is made by mixing red wine with any kind of fruits like lime, lemon, peaches, apple berries, oranges, adda bit of sugar and also a splash of brandy. Keen to perfect your Sangria-making skills at home? Do you prefer your whiskey neat or with a few drops of water or ice? Either way, you're in good company. As Jim Rutledge once told me, "Drink it how you like it." If you're looking for some expert advice on all things whiskey, be sure to check out Christopher Blatner's comments in this article in Tasting Table. Not only is Chris a great guy to hang out with, but he's also extremely knowledgeable and provides some great insights for spirits enthusiasts. Cheers! #whiskey #spirits p.s. I prefer my whiskey (and my water) neat.

Here’s an insider tip👇 👅 As a wine expert that can taste up to several wines daily, it’s important to know the best tricks to reset your palate between tastings! 💧Water and plain crackers are almost always offered at large tastings, but when you’re tasting around 100 wines in one day, the water and crackers are more specifically used for hydration and to absorb the alcohol rather than palate cleanse. 🧠 what you may not know is that if you’re in full fledge review mode, it’s a mental and sensory overload! Leading to palate fatigue and headaches. 🥂 My most tried and true palate cleanse is sparkling wine! The low alcohol, high acid, bubbly structure brushes away leftover tannin and flavours without leaving much on the palate to interfere with your next tasting. I find this most helpful between those heavy, full-bodied reds. #winetasting #wineexpert
