2024 is the year of enterprise robotics- and I don’t say this solely based on the momentum we’ve experienced at Formant. In 2023, the industry witnessed a handful of notable acquisitions, such as Rockwell’s acquisition of Clearpath Robotics and John Deere’s acquisition of Spark AI, proving that the adoption of physical automation (robotics) by enterprise companies is gaining momentum fast, and I believe will build this year. But what’s driving this growth? The pace of acquisitions is accelerating, and we expect this to really take off thanks to the combination of physical automation (robotics) powered by AI-based management and optimization. This is a killer combination. I’m sure this year will bring plenty of larger acquisitions than we’ve seen before; our team will, of course, keep a close eye on this trend and provide support for organizations seeking to deploy large fleets. But this mindset misses a crucial point: the real job of management isn't just to run assets—it’s to maximize their value.
