Why is California's Affordable Housing Mandate Becoming Controversial? | James Ardaiz 🔴 WATCH NOW: https://lnkd.in/g65r3xDy "I don't think the Affordable Housing Act is about affordable housing at all. What it really is, is just an aspect of socialism. Carmel is very densely populated. It's one square mile. There's really no spot to put them other than taking away from existing infrastructure." Siyamak sits down with James Ardaiz, a retired California appellate judge and resident of Carmel-by-the-sea. He’ll discuss the challenges a small beach town like Carmel-by-the-sea faces when trying to meet the state’s housing mandate. #California #RealEstate #Housing

My latest and ~totally non-controversial ~~ book from the CATO Institute…. Even in Newberg housing prices are crazy, really expensive land is not being utilized properly, people are not getting what they want and there is a sense that we as a community could do much better. While I don't agree with everything Bryan Caplan and Ady Branzei say they do present a solid, evidence-based, argument for the value of deregulation and the immediate and long-term outcomes. Thanks Dennis Littlefield for the recommendation. What is a good book or article you have read on the housing issues our community is dealing with?
