The initiative featured contributions from Confindustria Brescia, who presented the AENEAM #LIFEproject, and from CSMT Innovative Contamination Hub, who shared their experience on projects with a direct impact on environmental sustainability. This was followed by concrete testimonies from local entities operating in the field of green energy sources, such as ATB Group Riva Calzoni and SOLEVENTO IMPIANTI S.r.l.. 💡 Ansaldo Energia took part last week in the SMART Cup Liguria event, an initiative promoted by Regione Liguria and organized by FI.L.S.E. S.p.A. - Finanziaria Ligure per lo Sviluppo Economico at BIC - Incubatore di imprese FILSE in collaboration with the University of Genoa and PNICube, dedicated to young people and young companies to promote the most innovative ideas born in our region. 🏆 Davide Pinna, Head of Intellectual Property at Ansaldo Energia, presented our award to Antares Electrolysis S.r.l., a startup created with the aim of decarbonizing sectors such as heavy industry, chemicals, and transport through the production of green hydrogen and other advanced e-fuels. Here some reflections for QualEnergia.it discussing the potential of energy cooperatives like ènostra or Enercoop in the emerging energy flexibility market. Many thanks to Antonio Bruni from ARETI and Mauro Gaggiotti from ènostra for providing valuable insights into the functioning of this emerging and complex market, and to Clément FOLLET from Enercoop for illustrating some best practices already implemented in their cooperatives. And Lorenzo Vallecchi always so helpfull. In summary, let's make technologies more social! There are plenty of compelling reasons to do so. While private actors continue to struggle with technology acceptance and engagement, the initial results from cooperatives are already very promising. For instance, in cooperative some trials show a significant 10% reduction in consumption during peak days with restricted communication, and without any incentives. This success underscores the importance of viewing people not merely as passive consumers but treating them with fairness. It highlights how reciprocity and trustworthy relationships are not only socially just but also pragmatically more efficient for a business. Their hydrogen production project, funded by the PNRR and set to be completed by June 30, 2026, will feature a cutting-edge 4 MW AEM electrolysis system from the Italo-German provider Enapter. 👏 Congratulations to Gianluca Magagnini and the entire team! 👏

⏪ #ICYMI We shared exciting news last week with the announcement of Hy24’s investment into HYSETCO, which aims at expanding the operations of 🇫🇷 France’s leader in #hydrogen mobility across the country and across Europe. This will mean deploying a dozen new stations by 2025 to serve several thousand H2 vehicles — thus accelerating #decarbonization efforts via HysetCo’s integrated mobility solution which has already helped displace 20 million kilometers worth of driver’s emissions. Many thanks to Le Figaro for asking my view on CCS/CCUS technologies, in this article making reference to ENI/SNAM's recent announcement. This particular project is certainaly interesting from an economic perspective (80 Euros/tonne). CCS technology has been around since I was in primary school. Has the "right" time finally arrived for CCS/CCUS? Hard-to abate industries are certainly looking with interest at these technological solutions. However we still need to understand whether similar projects are actually scalable and replicable, while keeping or even reducing their costs.
