Floor screeds - What are the main types commonly used? Traditional Screed: Also known as Sand and Cement Screed, this type comprises sharp sand, cement, and minimal water. It's versatile and suitable for various applications such as bonded, unbonded, and floating screeds. Applying traditional screed involves spreading and levelling it with a straight edge to the desired height. After levelling, it's smoothed out using either hand or power tools to correct imperfections and achieve a smooth finish, ready for the final floor covering. Liquid Screed: These are often called flowing screeds and are preferred for installations over underfloor heating systems due to their efficient heat transfer properties. Liquid screeds are gaining popularity over traditional ones because they can be applied to larger areas more quickly. The application involves using a liquid screed pump, followed by using a dapple bar to remove air bubbles and achieve a slightly smoother surface. Self-Levelling Compounds: These compounds are commonly used to level uneven substrates for precise tolerance requirements in tile, carpet, and other flooring installations. They are mixed with water and can be pumped or poured into place. Once applied, the compound spreads out and levels itself, reducing the need for intensive labour. Depending on the specific product, it can be walked on within 3 to 24 hours after installation, offering a time-efficient solution. #Screeding #FloorScreed

Plywood, on the other hand, is a bit more expensive but is stronger and more resistant to moisture and termites. 🌟 5-Star Review Alert! 🌟 Third year of using Drylok concrete paint on patio. Very pleased with product-repainted this year. No Pealing or color fade. Only request would be for a darker brown (like a pecan). Like to use the paints already mixed and the bamboo beige and coffee Beige are too light. Thx! If you're looking to elevate your outdoor area, we highly recommend giving it a try! 🖌️🏡 Checkout more reviews at drylok. #DRYLOK #ConcreteFloorPaint #PatioPerfection #5StarReview #OutdoorLiving #HomeImprovement

MS Polymer is a one part, modified silane based flexible wood flooring adhesive. It is suitable for sticking down any species of wooden flooring to almost any subfloor. When dry it has a high bond strength between the wooden floor and the subfloor but remains permanently flexible. This allows the flooring to move as the seasons change but it will not crack, and the floor will stay adhered to subfloor. If any adhesive is left on the surface of the wood it is easy to remove either wet or dry (following day) and no special chemicals are required. Larger pack size Ideal for Contractors on large installations Re-sealable packaging 12 Months shelf-life.#woodfloorinstallation #woodflooring #installation #woodfloors vivi@sdsealant.com www.sealant-cn.com www.sdsealant.com

Unlike "1-day" installers that use a wafer-thin coat of polyurea-polyaspartic as their direct-to-concrete primer, we use a thick, moisture-mitigating epoxy. When we broadcast your chosen flake blend into our thick primer coat, the flakes get deeply embedded. This allows us to mechanically buff before applying our dual polyaspartic topcoats, producing a smooth, durable flooring (There's no catching your socks on our flooring!). This isn't the case for wafer-thin 1-day coatings, which can only manually scrape so as not to "uproot" the poorly embedded flakes. #garagefloorcoating #garage #flooring #epoxy #homeimprovements #hgtv #epoxygarageflooring #garagefloorepoxy #concretecoating #concrete #homerenovations
