This can lead to more personal connections with team members and to understand what they went through and how you can possibly help them. As a leader, it is your responsibility to create a psychological safe environment where employees can verbalise their feelings and emotions to avoid any workplace anxiety they might experience. A psychological safe environment generally contributes to higher individual performance and lead to greater organisational performance. Easing Anxiety in the Modern Workplace: A Gen Z Perspective 🌟 I was working with one of my coaching clients the other day, and he was telling me about how the Gen Z employees on his team seem to have higher levels of anxiety at work. This is a trend that has been popping up across industries. The cost of not addressing employee anxiety can be significant, including decreased productivity, higher turnover, and a negative impact on overall workplace morale. Addressing anxiety is essential for maintaining a healthy and productive workforce. Here's how you can help relieve anxiety for your employees: 1. Open Dialogue and Support 🗣️ Create a culture of open communication where employees feel comfortable discussing their concerns. Offer access to mental health resources and encourage employees to seek help when needed. Gen Z values transparency and support. 2. Flexible Work Arrangements 🏡 Consider flexible work arrangements that accommodate personal needs. Remote work options, flexible hours, and mental health days can provide employees with the flexibility they need to manage stress. 3. Skill Development and Resilience Training 💪 Invest in programs that help employees build resilience and coping skills. This equips them with the tools to manage stress and anxiety effectively. By prioritizing mental health, fostering open dialogue, and providing support, you can create a workplace that eases anxiety for all employees, especially the valuable Gen Z workforce. Together, we can promote well-being and productivity. leadership #leading #professionaldevelopment
