I am a Student at Skyline High School, I Intern at Peer Court and am a receptionist at a Salon. Career Focus: Criminal Law and Justice and International Business.
"What skills am I hoping to gain/ or improve on from my internship?" I am hoping to gain many skills that include, learning how to communicate better with my peers, leadership skills, becoming more understanding of peoples situations, making quick decisions, knowing how to help someone and so much more. This internship while it is very interesting seems like at times will also be difficult, but from those difficult and more stressful times I am hoping to grow and gain more knowledge and skills from it. I know that this experience will be eye-opening and help me expand my knowledge in ways that I didn't even know was possible. This internship deals with a lot of communication and ways of understanding. I believe that right now I have a very strong skill set of communication but I still would like it to grow. We have to constantly talk to our peers on the panel to discuss the growth or the issues at hand. We have to communicate with the organizers of this Peer Court. We have to communicate with the Kids that participate in this program and their parents. So I believe that this will be the skill that grows the most and I will become most proficient in.
