California's VISION 2030 aims for all students in California to have the opportunity to graduate from high school with at least 12 college credits in a seamless, automated way. Are there particular dual enrollment courses that can help improve college enrollment and persistence among underserved students? YES! In my data-informed opinion, start with a 9th grade College and Career Counseling course; include a semester each of college English and Math; and culminate with a dual credit capstone CTE course in a Career pathway. That is the recipe for success.
