Teva Pharmaceuticals’ Post

Sometimes, the road less traveled takes you to the most amazing places ✨ That's exactly what happened to Elena Lapkina Gendler. "I took an unconventional path to come to Teva. I have a BA in Nursing and worked for almost six years in the general children's unit at the Schneider Children's Medical Center in Israel. But I was looking for a new challenge; I didn’t want to spend my entire career at the hospital. So I studied for my M.Sc-Ph.D. and afterwards started working at Teva as a Scientist." Today, Elena is the Pharmacology Project Lead in our research labs in Netanya. She leads the scientific strategy for drug development, ensuring a strong foundation for clinical trials and patient benefit. "Every day brings new challenges and opportunities," Elena shares. "I love the scientific aspect of my work. It requires constantly thinking outside the box. My medical background as a nurse really helps me design research, and it makes it easier to connect with the physicians we work with." 💡 Elena's advice for those considering changing their careers: "We spend so much time at work. It's crucial to enjoy what we do and feel fulfilled. If you're not happy in your workplace, make the change. Find a place where you feel good." Have you ever made a change in your career?
