What a special field visit ♻️ Impressed by the waste sorting process of Remeo Group Oy. An ingenious logistical system of conveyor belts and air flows, separating different types of plastic. It almost felt like an amusement park, but then for different kinds of waste🎢 Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken | #NLinFinland #WasteManagement #Recycling #ZeroWaste #CircularEconomy
🧵 Last week our colleague Els Berkers, regional business developer for the Nordics, visited Helsinki. As both she and our embassy have a strong focus on developing the circular economy, we took this opportunity to further expand our knowledge on the topics of circular construction and circular textiles. The program included productive meetings with the Green Building Council Finland, Business Finland, Trademill Finland and Finnish Textile and Fashion. Thank you! Moreover, we visited the Remeo Group Oy recycling facility, where innovative technology is used to allow for better recycling/circularity in waste management. Of course wearing all the necessary protective gear! (see 📷) The meetings have provided valuable inspiration and collaborations, and will help to create new opportunities in promoting the circular economy. As a nice follow-up, the embassy will be present at the Circular Textile Days with a Nordic Event. During the Nordic Event, interested Dutch and international textile companies can hear more about the trends and market opportunities of the Nordics in the field of circular textiles. The Circular Textile Days take place in Den Bosch, the Netherlands, on 18 & 19 September. #circulartextile #circularity #recycling #circulareconomy
