Zero-waste is a design technique that eliminates textile waste at the design stage. Approximately 15 percent of textiles intended for clothing ends up on the cutting room floor. When textiles are wasted so too are the resources, both natural and human labour resources, which were invested and imbedded into the textiles. It is vital to address the source of the problem by maximising the use of textile materials and by minimising the wastage. Adopting a zero-waste design approach reduces textile waste and the demand on natural resources. #RawResponsibleRedefine #EthicalSustainbility #HandmadelnIndia #ThreadsOfLife #SlowFashion #ZeroWaste : threads of life

In the carpet and home industry, environmentally conscious designs are becoming essential. Recyclable materials play a significant role in reducing negative environmental impacts. In the carpet industry, using materials such as polyester yarns obtained from recycled plastic bottles helps in conserving natural resources and reducing plastic waste. Increasing energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprint in production processes are crucial elements of eco-friendly design. Utilizing renewable energy sources can reduce production costs and ensure an environmentally friendly production process. Another important aspect of sustainable design is that products are long-lasting and durable. Using high-quality and durable materials ensures that products are replaced less frequently, reducing resource use. Proper designs allow home textile and rug products to be used for a long time, providing both economic and environmental benefits. R&D is a component used in carpet and textile products and plays a significant role in the development of eco-friendly products. As a biodegradable and sustainable component, reduces the environmental impact of products. R&D studies play a critical role in the development of sustainable and eco-friendly products. The discovery of new materials, improvement of production processes, and innovative designs help in achieving sustainability in the industry. Proper design should be not only aesthetic and functional but also environmentally conscious. This ensures the longevity of products and the more efficient use of natural resources. The importance of using eco-friendly and recyclable products has the potential to create significant change in the carpet and home textile industry. By adopting the principles of sustainable design and R&D studies, we can create products that are both aesthetic and functional, while also contributing to the future of our planet. Therefore, it is essential for both manufacturers and consumers to prefer eco-friendly and sustainable products for a greener future. #hometextile #rug #carpet #avirtusdesign #recyclable

The world of textile production is evolving, with increasing attention given to the environmental impact of dyeing processes. Traditional methods often rely heavily on water and chemicals, but there are more sustainable alternatives making waves in the industry. From natural dyes like indigo and turmeric to innovative low-impact synthetic dyes, the shift toward eco-friendliness is gaining momentum. Natural dyes, derived from plants and other natural sources, offer a more environmentally conscious approach. For centuries, artisans have used natural materials like indigo leaves and turmeric roots to create rich, beautiful hues without the harmful effects of synthetic chemicals. While these dyes provide a unique, earthy charm, they are labor-intensive and can fade over time. In contrast, low-impact synthetic dyes offer vibrant, long-lasting colors while using significantly less water and energy than #traditional methods. These dyes also minimize the use of toxic chemicals, making them a more #sustainable option for modern textile production. At Synergy Lifestyles Pvt Ltd, we take pride in our #dedication to creating high-quality, long-lasting textiles. While our primary focus remains on #craftsmanship and #design, we support the industry's growing emphasis on #sustainability. By crafting durable pieces that are made to last, we help reduce the need for frequent replacements, contributing to a more thoughtful and responsible approach to consumption. As the industry continues to innovate, we remain committed to creating textiles that not only look beautiful but stand the test of time. #naturaldyes #fabric #ecofriendly #synergytextile #synergy

Leather made from pineapple is called Piñatex, a sustainable, non-woven material developed by Dr. Carmen Hijosa in the 1990s. Here's a brief overview of the process: 1. Pineapple leaf fiber extraction: Pineapple leaves are harvested and processed to extract their strong, fibrous leaves. 2. Decortication: The leaves are crushed and processed to remove the waxy coating, leaving behind the fibers. 3. Retting: The fibers are soaked in water to soften and break down the pectins, making them pliable. 4. Rinsing and cleaning: The fibers are washed and cleaned to remove impurities. 5. Carding: The fibers are carded, aligning them in the same direction. 6. Non-woven fabric creation: The carded fibers are formed into a non-woven fabric using a combination of heat, moisture, and pressure. 7. Finishing treatments: The Piñatex material is treated with natural oils, waxes, and pigments to enhance its texture, color, and durability. 8. Final product: The Piñatex material is now ready to be used as a sustainable alternative to leather for various applications, such as fashion, upholstery, and accessories. Piñatex has similar properties to leather, including: - Durability - Water resistance - Breathability - Softness However, it's more sustainable, as it: - Uses waste pineapple leaves - Requires less water and energy - Is biodegradable - Has a lower carbon footprint This innovative material offers a promising alternative to traditional leather, supporting a more circular and environmentally friendly economy.

Let's talk about the most upcoming and best-selling finishing now days which is the synthetic materials. Why is it very popular to many users in the world right now? We will share the three benefits and the no-no of the this material type. Benefits: 1. Cost friendly - easier to be applied So one of the most important reason to use this kind of material is the cost of using it is pretty comfortable for most people. Because most of these synthetic materials are made in a factory or industry. It is made by volume. So it's like you buy your plastic sandals. Also because it is made in a factory, they can design it to be more easy to be applied with designed joints. 2. Looks good enough If you're trying to make your house to look like a luxury ones. Yes, you can do it too using these synthetic products. These products has lots of different prints that resemble the looks of natural materials. 3. Low maintenance Most of these synthetic materials is made of plastic. And as you know, plastic is one of the most easy material to be cleaned and washed. So it also will be added to the points of the synthetic materials' benefit. The no-no: 1. Less detailed look Although it will generally look nice. But if you try to look it in detail. It won't copy the exact look of the natural materials. Such as the random patterns that natural materials have, also the texture of the natural materials that only God can create. 2. Feels fake ( touch of plastic ) As I have covered in the benefits, these products are mostly made of plastic. So it will feel like plastic too, no pun intended. So my pro tip is to use it on the untouchable areas, so it will look natural and nobody can touch it. 3. Less durable Because of the plastic as their main ingredient of these synthetic products, it is easily be burned down or broken if being hit by sharp or heavy items. So make sure to put it in safe areas. These are the three benefits and the no-nos of the synthetic materials. Make sure you use them the right way, the way it should. If you want to discuss more about choosing the right material to #BuildyourDreamHouse, feel free to message me. Let's #Builditup!

Moss has unveiled a new sustainable fabric for the UK graphics, events, and retail display markets. Launched in the last month in the UK following a prior introduction to the US market, SustainaTex Ocean is made from Seaqual Marine Plastic and recycled polyester and adds to the group’s extensive range of global sustainable options. The new 100% post-consumer waste recycled content SustainaTex Ocean fabric is exclusive to Moss and suited to dye-sub print, which the company said made it ideal for silicone edged graphic (SEG) applications. The fabric is made from 62% Seaqual Yarn, a traceable material produced from upcycled marine plastic retrieved from oceans, beaches, rivers, and estuaries by the Seaqual Initiative, with the remainder supplied from recycled polyester. Once the event the material is being used for has finished, or retail graphics have been used, they can be sent back to Moss for reprocessing, ensuring a responsible end-of-life for the product. #printweekmena #printingindustry #printingsolutions #packagingindustry #packagingnews #printingnews #UAE #middleeast #northafrica #saudiarabia #labelindustry #3dprinting
