Let’s Make “Thanksgiving Posts” Real This Thanksgiving, I want to go beyond the usual generic messages. Let’s truly put the “thanks” in Thanksgiving. While all gratitude is due to God for every aspect of our lives, including our health and business successes, I want to take a moment here on LinkedIn to reflect on the specific people who have made a difference in our professional journeys this year. A special shout-out to the amazing Real Deal Chat (admins Chaim Lefkowitz and Joel Rosenberg) for creating a space where collaboration and intel keep everyone up to date on everything CRE-related. I’d like to also thank Marc Belsky. Over the past year, Mark led the pack of those I bounce my ideas off of, offering not just encouragement but also constructive criticism. He has patiently listened to all my ideas, giving amazing critiques, but consistently pushing back with one key message: “Ira Zlotowitz, focus your energy on just one idea and imagine where GPARENCY’s value could be.” I appreciate him for not just “yes-yessing” me, but for his persistent push that has paid off in spades. This advice helped me stop using my God-given talents to open new ideas or products and instead channel them into one focused message and product. This newfound focus allowed me to refine GPARENCY’s marketing channels, and as a result, our business is now growing month over month. Thank you, Marc! Now, over to you. We had the best Halloween but it’s Nov 1 and that means it’s… Christmas season. You can get at me about your grinch feelings later, go with me on this. There are 2 months left and it’s time to take 20 minutes and ask yourself a few questions: 1. What does work look like through EOY? Are there goals I still want to reach? Projects I’m committed to finish and not push till next year? 2. What does our family life look like through EOY? Do I want to feel full and busy or slow and cozy? How do I schedule our life accordingly? 3. When am I doing my 2025 business and personal planning? These few questions can set up the rest of your year. Don’t let EOY happen to you, make a plan. I’m going for slow and cozy but a little year end goal push myself. It’ll be busy but I have intentional slow plans as well. What’re you going for?
