Innovation is paramount for Romania's energy sector as we strive to meet both national and global sustainability goals. Our future prosperity hinges on our ability to develop cutting-edge projects and services that can attract significant investments and drive economic growth. At the recent Energy Strategy Summit 2024, we discussed how creating a robust ecosystem is essential for bringing in large investors with budgets exceeding 100 million euros. This ecosystem must include available land, network access, reliable suppliers, and integrated services. The Romanian state plays a crucial role in this process, holding the authority to sign contracts worth tens of billions of euros for Green Deal initiatives. The path to accessing European funds is fraught with challenges, underscoring the need for a realistic and strategic approach. In the energy sector alone, we have the potential to attract 5-6 billion euros, but unlocking this potential requires meticulous planning and overcoming bureaucratic barriers. Innovation isn't just a buzzword; it's the key to our success. By embracing innovative solutions and fostering an environment conducive to investment, we can ensure that Romania's energy sector not only survives but thrives.
