🐾 Giving back has never been so rewarding! 🐾 Our Internal Audit team recently spent a day volunteering at Furkids, a beloved animal rescue organization in metro Atlanta. From cleaning the cat surgical area to engaging with energetic puppies, the team rolled up their sleeves and made a difference for furry friends in need. 🐶 🐱 🥰 Amanda Fiskell, CPA, Director of Internal Audit, shared her thoughts on the day: “Our Internal Audit department had a rewarding day at Furkids, where we contributed by cleaning out the cat surgical area, toured the facility, and engaged with the puppies to help manage their energy and cleanliness. Giving back to the community and supporting animal rescue is a cause that is very close to my heart. Having the entire team, including our Chief Financial Officer, Kelly Wall, together for the first time for our holiday celebration made the experience even more meaningful for everyone. We are grateful for Aaron's who allows us to prioritize giving back.” We couldn’t be prouder of our team’s commitment to making a positive impact—both at work and in our community. Thank you, Furkids Animal Rescue & Shelters, for all you do to rescue and rehome animals! #YouBelongAtAarons #AaronsGives #LifeatAarons #CommunityImpact #AnimalRescue #InternalAudit

There are only 4 days left in our International Pet Appreciation Rally fundraising campaign and we are only $14,573 from meeting our goal! Thanks to an extraordinarily generous matching gift from one of our animal-loving friends, your gift today will go TWICE as far to end the Yulin Dog Meat "Festival” and the brutal dog and cat meat trade behind it! The diminishing popularity of the "festival" is one of many proofs that our steady, strategic approach is working and driving the positive change we've been sharing with you. Diminished is good - but not good enough. We must continue delivering animal care, education, and advocacy 365 days a year in Yulin and other dog and cat meat-eating communities. Your contribution today will help save the lives of innocent dogs and cats now and in the future by helping us continue our critical work. Can you pitch in any amount to help? Your support makes ALL the difference. With help from caring friends and animal advocates like you, we continue to reach more and more people in Yulin - and other dog and cat meat-eating communities - with transformational programs that help them embrace dogs and cats as family, not food. Together, we WILL end the suffering of innocent dogs and cats. https://buff.ly/3VO3Qzy #PetAppreciationRally #FamilyNotFood #FriendsNotFood #EndDogMeatTrade #EndCatMeatTrade #StopYulinFestival #DuoDuoProject

𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲? Today, on World Stray Animal Day, we're revealing these heartbreaking facts about the global stray animal crisis: ➡️ Over 200 million strays are suffering on the streets 🐕 ➡️ The average life expectancy of a stray dog in developing countries is a mere 3-5 years, compared to 8-16 years for a dog in a loving home 🏠 ➡️ In most developing countries, only about 5% of dogs have owners, compared to 95% in the US 💔 Global Strays tackles animal suffering at its root by addressing the animal overpopulation crisis in underserved regions worldwide. Our free Spay and Neuter Clinics reach the animals before they reach the streets and the shelter system, before they suffer. Our education programs teach children compassionate pet ownership, which ripples into their communities. On World Stray Animal Day, we urge you to donate to save the animals in the most far-to-reach places we serve. #globalstrays #animalwelfare #worldstrayanimalday #animallovers

I'm beyond excited for our client, Invisible Universe 🥳 🎉 . If you haven’t seen their recent developments, you’re missing out! Did you catch Clydeo on the Today Show? 👀 They’ve been creating some of the most adorable characters, but there’s so much more happening behind the scenes. For a quick recap of what Invisible Universe is all about, here’s some info from Doug Shapiro's article: - Invisible Universe (IU) is an internet-first animation studio that develops animation franchises and distributes chiefly on YouTube and TikTok. - Instead of the traditional model of creating content and then distributing it, IU employs a highly iterative content development process, continuously engaging with its fan base and quickly turning new content. Fans play an active role in plot and character development. - Recognizing that falling entry barriers generally mean lower margins, IU doesn’t view video as a profit center. Video is a mechanism for creating franchises that are monetized through other channels. - Contrary to the perception that GenAI is currently a hobbyist tool, IU has fully transitioned to AI-enabled content generation. Over the last year, it has created its own fine-tuned models, trained on its IP, and developed a custom workflow. As a result, it has reduced development time on its videos from weeks to hours and reduced content development costs by over 90%. - It intends to productize its workflow as a IU Studio that enables fans to create content using its IP. Essentially - they are doing amazing things AND 🚨 Exciting News 🚨 unlocking some of their studio capabilities to the public for the first time! You can actually help Clydeo choose his next adventure in their AI art studio!! 😲 Trust me, you want to give them a follow! #clientshoutout #ai #technology #videoproduction #accountingfirm #excitingnews #todayshow #rescue Connected Accounting

I love animals. As an only child, nature was my sanctuary (still is) and wildlife fascinated me. And my pets were my best friends; I often preferred time with them over people. Nearly everyone at Point of Reference loves animals as well (found my people). I think an organization's people help define its culture. And when possible, the people and their passions should be highlighted, regardless of how "businessy" they may be. We're #peoplebeforeprofessionals, after all. So this year, featured at #CustomerXCon, we're doing a CMA Pros & Pets contest! You don't have to attend the conference to participate, but all photos will be featured and winners selected to win great prizes. Comment here with your photo and pet name(s)! And I will personally make a donation to the winners' animal welfare charities of choice because, well, I'm an animal advocate as well :) #customeradvocacy #customermarketing #customerexperience #customerengagement #customersuccess #animalwelfare

“48% of (shelter) intake in the US were strays, and only 9% were returned to their owners” - those are heartbreaking stats. When a pet becomes lost, the best outcome is to get that animal back home, fast! The finder-to-foster program model works to do just this; keeping animals out of the shelter. And it’s had great success in the U.S.! Some shelters have doubled or even tripled return-to-home rates with the program, plus increased adoptions to boot. Jenifer Reed and Heather Kalman, who are with Human Animal Support Services at Austin Pets Alive! shared strategies with #ICAM2024 to successfully implement this type of program in your shelter.
