All things being equal, I tend to prefer investment trusts over funds. So I was surprised that this analysis of sister funds found that trusts tended to underperform over shorter time periods. A really interesting read from Holly Mead; this part stood out: 'Investment trusts come into their own over the longer term, however. Some 61 per cent outperformed their sister fund over ten years.'
