She plays a pivotal role in advancing HIV education and prevention. Through her collaboration with Aurum, she shares her journey and expertise to break the stigma surrounding HIV and support recruitment efforts for clinical studies, including vaccine research. Today, on #WorldAIDSDay, we reaffirm our commitment to a future where everyone, regardless of their HIV status, can access the care and support they deserve. This year’s theme, “#MyHealthMyRight – Take the Rights Path,” emphasizes the critical importance of rights-based healthcare and breaking down the barriers that hinder equitable access to HIV prevention, treatment, and care. At ARFH, we are dedicated to: ✅ Addressing stigma and discrimination ✅ Promoting inclusive, youth-friendly HIV services ✅ Leveraging innovative solutions to bridge gaps in care through digital platforms As we work toward the ‘95-95-95’ goals—95% of people with HIV diagnosed, 95% receiving sustained treatment, and 95% achieving viral suppression—it’s clear that collaboration is key. Governments, organizations, healthcare providers, and civil society must unite to ensure no one is left behind. Let’s continue to empower communities, foster awareness, and make HIV a priority in every conversation. Together, we can build a world where everyone’s health is their right. #TakeTheRightsPath #WorldAIDSDay #MyHealthMyRight #HIVAwareness #EndAIDS

🌍✨ World AIDS Day: Together for Action and Awareness ✨🌍 World AIDS Day is a day to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and honor those lost to the disease. This year's theme, "Equalise," highlights the need for equitable access to prevention, treatment, and care. In South Africa, where HIV remains a major public health challenge, we must continue efforts in education, stigma reduction, and advocacy. Each of us has a role in creating a supportive environment for those affected by HIV. Let’s commit to: Educating ourselves and others about HIV transmission and prevention. Supporting organisations that provide resources and care for those living with HIV. Advocating for policies that ensure equitable access to healthcare for everyone. Together, we can make a difference. Let’s work towards a future where everyone has access to the care they need and stigma is a thing of the past. #WorldAIDSDay #HIVAIDS #Equalize #HealthcareForAll #Pharma #LifeSciences

Since 1988, #WorldAIDSDay unites communities globally in the fight against HIV and AIDS, challenging stigma and honoring those we've lost. Medical advances empower those with HIV to lead healthy lives and end transmissions, yet stigma endures, affecting work and healthcare. Let's spotlight the experiences of those living with HIV, celebrating their resilience, and inspiring leadership for an HIV-free future. The red ribbon, born in 1991, symbolizes our support for people with HIV, chosen for its boldness and connection to love. Today, and beyond, we hold a unique opportunity to end the HIV epidemic, but the fight against stigma and injustice must continue. Support National AIDS Trust for a world where HIV doesn't hinder health, dignity, or equality. Learn more in our bio. #EndHIVStigma #SupportHIVAwareness

As a follow up to National Latinx Older Adults & HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, please join us on August 21st to the webinar: Oral history in our own voices: Thriving and #aging with #HIV Register here: https://lnkd.in/edaJaFqD Description: This people-centered #webinar aims to be a powerful platform where two Hispanic/Latinx community leaders will share their personal stories about living with HIV and, in turn, becoming key figures within their communities. Through their narratives, these leaders will not only recount their struggles and resilience in facing the disease but also how they have used their experiences to empower and uplift the voices of vulnerable communities living with or affected by HIV. As the population living with HIV ages, new dynamics and challenges arise, making the experiences of these leaders even more relevant. This webinar not only seeks to bring visibility to these experiences but also to inspire others to find their voice and path to leadership within their own communities. In a world where #stigma and #discrimination still persist, these testimonies are a reminder of the power of #resilience and the importance of #solidarity. Latino Commission on AIDS

Today, on Zero HIV Stigma Day, Gilead stands united with individuals and communities in our mission to eliminate inequities in accessing care for all. Despite significant progress in science, stigma and discrimination remains a barrier in HIV care, affecting testing and treatment rates. This ongoing challenge highlights the urgent need for collaborative action to create an inclusive society. At Gilead, we are dedicated to addressing barriers through a whole-of-society approach. This commitment is demonstrated through our collaboration with the International AIDS Society (IAS) to develop the Stigma-free Services Cookbook which features inspiring stories from frontline workers, showcasing how stigma can be overcome and encouraging replication to create a broader impact in healthcare settings. Now available in 9 languages, the Stigma-free Services Cookbook aims to enhance existing efforts towards fostering empathy and expanding community partnerships, bringing society one step closer to zero stigma and ensuring that everyone affected by HIV can live with dignity and inclusion. I encourage each of you to acquire a digital copy of the Stigma-free Services Cookbook today. Obtain your copy here: https://lnkd.in/gbiky9CK. 🌟 Celebrating Children’s Day with a Commitment to Health and Safety 🌟 On this Children’s Day, let’s turn our attention to a critical issue affecting millions of children worldwide: HIV/AIDS. The 2023 UNICEF snapshot on Children and HIV reveals a stark reality: every day, 356 children aged 0-14 and 384 adolescent girls aged 10-19 are newly infected with HIV. Globally, 71% of new HIV infections among adolescents 10–19 years are among girls. Tragically, 271 children and adolescents die from AIDS-related causes daily. Despite significant progress, challenges remain. The fight against HIV/AIDS is far from over for Children. We must break the silos and work together to create a world where no child is left behind. We must foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe to seek help and support. On this special day, let’s renew our commitment to safeguarding our children and ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive, free from the burden of HIV/AIDS. Together, we can build a healthier, brighter future for every child. 💪❤️ #ChildrensDay #HIV #AIDS #UNICEF #ChildHealth #SDGs #EndAIDS #HealthForAll #GlobalSolidarity #SharedResponsibility
