The ‘Spotlight Awards’ recognize unique qualities in this year’s Best Places to Work, highlighting organizations that excel in boosting staff happiness within specific areas and demographic groups. Pi is delighted to be highly commended for ‘best places to work for employees aged 55+’. The panel states: 'It’s as easy as pie for older staff to feel loyal to this London-based consultancy. The firm gives everyone the chance to become a shareholder after two years. There is flexible working and it scores 91 per cent engagement among the 25 survey respondents aged 55-plus, who represent more than half of the workforce of 49. The Times & The Sunday Times – Best Places to Work in 2024 As Head of People, Monica Millan Balducci attracted to Pi Partnership when first introduced to the team, by our ambitious growth plans and our warm, open and independent culture. One of the numerous challenges in growing a business is retaining and nurturing culture in a changing environment, and what appealed to Monica, was the focus that Pi has on its people and fostering a very special culture. Pi’s growth plans have resulted in the recent exciting acquisition of Align Pensions. Not only was the location of Northern England appealing to us as a business but also the fit for Pi on a personal level. Recognition for your efforts at work is known to be a better motivator than money. There are lots of ways to recognise someone's outstanding work, too, whether it is a shout out in a team meeting, time-off, bonuses and so on. You could also consider introducing in-house awards, sort of like Employee of the Month. The WOW! Awards : Employee Recognition Programmes are an international program with a couple of features that makes it stand out from the others. 1. The nominations are sought from colleagues and customers. Supervisors can’t be everywhere at once to notice everyone’s great work, so it is up to those who do see it to do the nominating. 2. The judging is done at arm's length by The WOW! Employee of the Month Is it a motivational masterpiece or just another box-ticking exercise that results with plaque on the wall? Right, before we kick off, this isn't a classic case of Meakin's never-won one, so he's having a go 😆 --------------------------------------------------------- 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 awards are as classic as it gets but are there more to them than meets the eye, beneath the surface of these accolades lies a blend of pros and cons that can significantly shape the workplace culture and employee morale. 🔔 Calling all HR and management professionals! 🔔 At the South Sound YMCA, we're passionate about recognizing our hardworking staff for their dedication and achievements. We recently sent out our annual survey and noticed that many employees are eager for new ways to celebrate each other's successes. In the past, we've used a "bright star award" where employees could nominate their peers via an online form.
