**Ready to Roll: Help Us Find Our Home!** The Black Flag is ready to launch the Building Futures Initiative, but we need your help to clear the final roadblock: finding a physical location. Our ambitious project charter is live now – check it out here: ( https://lnkd.in/gwiC3qXR ). We've been ready for a minute and a half, with half of what we need already in storage and waiting for a destination. This isn't just a one-off project; it's the first of many oddball, but useful endeavors by The Black Flag. We're all about doing whatever the fuck we feel like doing, not being tied to one purpose. Right now, the non-monetary gift of real estate – whether as an outright donation or just tenancy in exchange for 501(c)(3) benefits – is much more preferable to cash. Cash to purchase or lease is always appreciated, but what we need at this moment is a target destination to stay on schedule. If you have leads or know someone who can help us get a conversation started with an interested owner or broker, that would be fucking amazing. We're looking for a facility of approximately 4,000 to 5,000 sq ft (interior). This size fits our current network stack and Cat6 riser capabilities as we churn out grant applications and take advantage of a badass discount on an infrastructure refresh we just came upon. Like really badass. Like crazy badass. Help us make this happen and let’s get this show on the road! #CommunityBuilding #PunkRock #TechForGood #HelpUsFindAHome #TheBlackFlag

Alright, let’s get into it. The Tulsa Massacre, also known as the Black Wall Street Massacre happened from May 31, 1921 - June 1, 1921. It spurned from an angry mob that formed after an alleged assault of a young white woman by a young black man in an elevator on May 30. A mob of white looters and arsonists burned 35 blocks of black owned businesses, churches, medical facilities and homes to the ground. The community was such that a POC had access to everything without even needing to leave town. There were grocery stores, theaters, hotels, night clubs, schools, churches, lawyers, real estate agents, etc. The resentment towards black prosperity was so strong that they even flew an aerial assault and dropped dynamite over the section of Tulsa known as Greenwood. In the aftermath, 300 were dead, hundreds were injured, 8,000 - 10,000 black people were left homeless. Nearly 1,500 homes were burned or looted. 6,000 were detained in internment camps. The people of Greenwood who did survive had no choice but to a) try to rebuild or b) to leave town and start over. A fire ordinance was put into place preventing anyone from rebuilding on their own and insurance companies refused to pay for the damages, so as you might imagine not many people were able to stay. This massacre left bodies stacked and discarded in mass graves and upset generational black wealth in this community and stunted the growth of these generations in general because of the deaths that were senselessly caused. The total loss was $1.8 million which is the equivalent of $27 million today. I’ve included The NY Times article as it shows exactly how the town was set up and what businesses were there which really helps to paint a picture of how amazing it was before they burned it to the ground. This is a terrible part of American history, but it is the truth and it needs to be known. Over 100 years later the community has yet to receive reparations or any support at all to rebuild what was once the epitome of black success and excellence. #blackwallstreet #tulsamassacre #reparations #americanhistory #blackhistory

I don’t know about you, but I believe it’s well past time for Congress to repeal the Gun Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. This will enable us to effectively limit gun access and hold all people responsible when they access and use guns irresponsibly like other developed countries. We need to end most of the insane and unneeded gun violence ASAP. “As the NRA crumbles around it, the gun industry still has one “Stay Out of Jail Free Card” in its back pocket: the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which Congress rubber-stamped in 2005 at the behest of the NRA. This law granted the gun industry nearly unprecedented legal protection. By way of comparison, if other industries enjoyed similar protections, car airbags might still be optional, Purdue Pharma might still be peddling opioids like Pez, and Joe Camel might still be pitching cigarettes to kids. To understand how cravenly the gun industry has taken advantage of its favored status, consider its refusal to implement even the most basic safety measures. For instance, these days even the cheapest smartphones can include a fingerprint lock, but not guns — and that’s because manufacturers would rather spend their R&D budgets on gadgets to make guns shoot faster, hold more ammo, and get around gun safety laws. The fallout of a gun industry unbound by even a passing concern for human life has been devastating. While shootings have dipped from the highs we saw during the pandemic, 120 Americans are still killed every single day by gun violence, and another 200 are wounded. Shamefully, many of the victims are kids, with gun violence now the leading cause of death for American children and teens — a statistic that would prompt emergency action in almost any other country.” #NRA #insanity #gunsecurity #gunaccess #gunregistration #gunregulation #commonsense #guncontrol

David Hogg here, and I’m pissed off. While guns are the leading cause of death for young people in the United States, Republicans are worried about banning books???? The Freemasons as an organization are not meant to protect their members from investigation into criminal activities. If Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that emphasizes moral and ethical behavior, personal development, and charitable work. While Freemasons are bound by a sense of brotherhood and mutual support, they are also expected to uphold the law and maintain high ethical standards. so why Ashcroft and Rami Ranger are protecting criminals Sudhir Sharmas from investigation If a member is involved in criminal activities, they are not exempt from legal accountability, and the organization is not supposed to shield them from investigation or prosecution. In fact, many Masonic constitutions emphasize that members must obey the laws of the land. Any attempt to use the organization to evade justice would be a serious violation of Masonic principles.
