✨ Post-Diwali Reflections: What Happens to Unused Gift Hampers and Decorations? ✨ As the festive lights dim and the last of the sweets are savored, many of us are left with unused gift hampers, lights, and decorations. Instead of letting them gather dust, consider these options: 🧿Donate: Many organizations accept unused gift items to spread joy to those in need. Local shelters or community centers often welcome contributions. A lot of old age homes, orphanages etc actually look forward to donations like these as they are less funded and need more resources. Why not bring smiles there! 🎁Re-Gift: If you have friends or family who would appreciate those extra goodies or decorations, share the love! Share the same with your staff at home, make them feel privileged and appreciated. Spreading kindness comes at zero cost! ♻️Recycle: For items that can’t be reused, ensure they are disposed of responsibly. Check local guidelines for recycling festive materials. Already we are polluting the environment so much, why not recycle and reuse? Old is gold haha 📦Store for Next Year: Some items may be perfect for next Diwali! Store them properly to keep them in good condition. Let’s keep the spirit of Diwali alive by sharing and repurposing what we no longer need. How do you plan to manage your post-festival items? #Diwali #Sustainability #Community #LinkedIn #LinkedInCommunity #India #Recycle #Donate #Festive #Festival #HapppyDiwali

From Buying Diwali Gifts to Celebrating Diwali with a Purpose. During the early days of my organisation, we followed the tradition of Diwali gifting, meticulously planning for months: what gifts to give, who would receive them, who would deliver them and how to make an impression. We were told this is the right thing to do. Eventually we realised that the gifts were not really valued by many - most gifts are even recirculated. It made us question our line of thought deeply: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠? And one year, we decided to 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩. No more Diwali gifts. Instead, we identified a more meaningful cause and allocated that same budget to something far more beneficial—𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲. ↳ We visited St. Catherine, an old age home, started spending time with the residents, planted trees, and provided what they needed. The feeling of fulfilment was unmatched. We requested the authorities to call us if they ever needed anything and the ritual continued. They never asked for cash but whenever they needed ration or clothes, my wife Anju would promptly have everything arranged. ↳ Under The Light of Life initiative, we got an opportunity to sponsor the education of nearly 40 underprivileged children, and extended our support to those who needed it most. The impact we made as a team gave us a sense of purpose far beyond any material gift. This experience taught me that while traditions have their place, sometimes it’s worth 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 them. Why give to those who already have enough, when you can make a lasting difference in the lives of people who don’t? So, this Diwali, ask yourself: ✅ Is your gift really making a difference? ✅ Could your time, energy and resources be better spent helping those in need? Let’s pivot from the usual and make our Diwali celebrations more impactful. PS: These are the charities we donate to every year. If you wish, you can do so too. 1. #Dhanteras, the auspicious beginning of the Diwali festivities, holds a special significance for all of us. The day symbolizes wealth, prosperity, and new beginnings - the perfect reminder to reflect on our journeys and set our sights on future goals. However, it’s equally essential to remember that wealth is not merely a personal achievement; it’s also a resource that can foster community development. This Dhanteras, let’s take a moment to think about giving back. One of the best ways to connect with the spirit of this festival is by making charitable donations. By committing a portion of our profits or resources for the greater good of the society, we can support those in need and help foster growth within our communities. Additionally, let's also invest in local artisans or small businesses that can create a ripple effect of prosperity, strengthening economic ties and ensuring that the wealth circulates within our neighborhoods. Dhanteras is a time for us to celebrate not only our achievements but also our responsibilities toward others. Together, let's make this Dhanteras a celebration of both personal success and collective well-being! Happy Dhanteras everyone! #Dhanteras2023 #DiwaliCelebration #WealthAndProsperity #CommunityDevelopment #GiveBack #CharityForGood #SupportLocalArtisans #SmallBusinessSupport #FestiveSpirit #NewBeginnings #WealthCirculation #SustainableGiving #SocialResponsibility #EmpowerCommunities #CelebrateWithPurpose #InvestInFuture #ProsperityTogether #MeaningfulGifts #CulturalHeritage #DiwaliFestivities #JoyOfGiving #StrengthenEconomy #ArtisanSupport #ReflectAndGrow #WealthWithPurpose #InspireChange #PhilanthropyMatters #DiwaliSpirit #TransformLives #UnityInCommunity

*This Diwali, Let's Spread Love Beyond Words*. Diwali, the festival of lights is for everyone irrespective of rich or poor. Instead of just discussing ways to give back, let's take action! Rather than just buying diyas, candles, and sweets from commercial stores, consider purchasing from underprivileged vendors or local artisans. This simple act can bring light and joy to their homes. Let's make a conscious effort to spread love and kindness to those in need. This Diwali, I encourage you to: - Buy from street vendors or local artisans - Donate to those struggling financially - Volunteer your time at local charities - Share a meal or sweets with someone in need I'm not here to judge, but to inspire. Let's come together to make a difference. *Comment below: How will you spread love and kindness this Diwali?* Share your stories, ideas, and experiences. Let's ignite a wave of compassion and kindness this festive season! #Diwali #SpreadLove #KindnessMatters #GiveBack

#Diwali #celebrate #sabkesath Absolutely, choosing to celebrate Diwali in ways that help others instead of burning crackers.... 1.#Donate to Charities- Use the money you’d typically spend on crackers to support charities, orphanages, or old age homes. Buying essential supplies, food, or clothes for people in need can brighten their Diwali and make a lasting impact. 2.#Sponsor a #Meal for the Needy- Organize or sponsor a community meal for the underprivileged. Many NGOs and organizations help arrange meals for homeless or low-income families. You could also visit these communities, share food with them, and make their Diwali special. 3. #Gift #Education or Vocational Training- Consider funding educational materials or sponsoring classes for children from underprivileged backgrounds. Giving the gift of education can transform their future and is a gift that lasts well beyond the festive season. 4.Spend Time at Senior Centers or Hospitals- Many people in senior centers or hospitals feel lonely during festivals. Spending time with them, organizing a small Diwali celebration, or simply sharing sweets can bring them joy and a sense of connection. 5.#Plant #Trees or Create a Community Garden- Celebrate Diwali by planting trees or starting a community garden with neighbors and friends. Plants can help improve air quality, and green spaces are a gift for everyone in the community. 6.#Contribute to #Animal #Shelters- Firecrackers can cause distress for animals. Consider donating to animal shelters or volunteering your time there. You could also help spread awareness about protecting pets and stray animals during the festival. 7. #Host a Charity Fundraiser Event- Host a virtual or in-person event, like a Diwali-themed charity raffle, concert, or art workshop, and donate the funds to a cause close to your heart. This way, you celebrate Diwali with your community and collectively contribute to a meaningful purpose. 8. Opt for Eco-Friendly Celebrations Celebrate by lighting diyas and decorating your home sustainably. Instead of crackers, consider using lasers, fairy lights, or eco-friendly decorative items to reduce pollution and still enjoy the festive atmosphere. Focusing on these kinds of celebrations spreads the spirit of joy, kindness, and giving in a way that’s truly in harmony with the essence of Diwali. This shift not only makes a positive impact on others' lives but also leaves a memorable mark on your own.

Attention! This Diwali, don't let your bonuses fall into the tax trap! 💸💰 Diwali is a time for bonuses, gifts, and festive cheer, but these rewards can come with a hidden cost—tax! 🎁🎉💸 Many Diwali gifts and bonuses from employers are taxable as "income from other sources," including cash gifts, gift vouchers, or any other monetary rewards. But don't worry! A few strategic choices can help you avoid or minimize these taxes. Here's how to keep your celebration stress-free and maximize your perks. 🎁🎉 Claim Exemptions 🎁 - Gifts up to ₹5,000 from your employer are tax-exempt. - Gifts from close relatives are completely tax-free, regardless of the amount. Opt for Non-Cash 💸 - Opt for non-cash items like gadgets, gift cards, or other tangible gifts that can reduce your tax burden. Charity Contributions💰 - Consider donating part of your bonus to a certified charity, which can earn you deductions under Section 80G and lower your taxable income. By understanding these options and planning wisely, you can keep your Diwali bonuses intact while avoiding unnecessary taxes. So, how are you planning to enjoy your tax-smart Diwali? 🎁🎉

Have you ever bought something because you loved the person who started the company? It’s because we can see their personality in the brand. For example, Ratan Tata’s passion for helping people is clear in everything Tata does. From building affordable cars to supporting social causes, Tata’s commitment to making a difference is evident. This makes us feel like we’re not just buying a product, but supporting a company with a good heart. When a company’s founder’s values match our own, it feels more real and genuine. Tata has donated billions of dollars to charity, and he is a strong advocate for social justice. This is why Tata Group is one of the most respected and trusted brands in India. We trust them more and feel more connected to the brand. If we value sustainability, we might be more likely to support a company founded by an environmental activist. Also, a founder’s personal story can make a brand more memorable and engaging. If we can relate to their journey, we’re more likely to become loyal customers. What brands have you connected with because of their founders? Share your thoughts below! #brandpersonality #foundersjourney #customerloyalty Repost ♻️ and for more valuable content, follow me, Yash Agrawal
