We were honoured to be invited to The Energy Council WECA 24 gala dinner as the very first charity partner. Supporting Katie Bernard and Martin Bell’s Team Syren, they both gave beautiful speeches about their experience of their son’s brain cancer diagnosis. We also want to give a huge thanks to Rob Ritchie who shared his story about launching Everest in the Alps, the ultra challenge. Thank you to WECA, Katie and Martin for inviting us as your charity partner and thank you to all the guests of the event for listening to our stories, asking insightful questions and donating generously.

#7Days2024 is only two weeks away, and our close-knit team of cyclists are preparing to pedal over 1,100 km across Southern Ontario. John Barry, a seven-time participant in the event, explains his commitment to the challenge is fueled by a personal mission to change pancreatic cancer survival rates. “The end goal is to eliminate cancer; that’s the big goal, and I can’t do it, but I can do my part and help raise money." We’re dedicating every Thursday in October to Breast Cancer Awareness. Our team will wear Maquette pink shirts each week to show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. We are also proud to support the Pink Fund, which offers financial relief to patients in treatment, covering critical non-medical costs like rent and transportation. Join us in making a difference by donating to Pink Fund today: https://lnkd.in/eJvEXCCV or https://lnkd.in/gcmZp-_S #MaquetteFAS #BreastCancerAwareness #PinkFund #EveryThursdayInPink

As my friend and colleague Matthew Hughes mentioned, today is International Men's Day. As you can see below, we are both equally good at growing a moustache. Movember is a tremendous cause that is changing the face of men's health, purely existing to help men live happier, healthier and longer lives. With a focus on three worthy causes; 1) Mental Health and Suicide Prevention 2) Prostate Cancer 3) Testicular Cancer The purpose of this is not just to raise some money, but also to raise awareness and get men talking. It's time to speak up! "Men are dying too young. We can't afford to stay silent" Please visit the link below to find out more details about the cause. https://lnkd.in/etw5k-bM
With it being International Men's Day & 11 days left of Movember I wanted to share mine & Toby Walker progress. As you can see, some of us have had a little more success than others. However, it is all working towards the same goal, raising money to fund work towards finding a cure for Prostate & Testicular cancer. Please visit the link below to find out more details & TO DONATE!!! https://lnkd.in/etw5k-bM #Movember #Menshealth #HendersonScott #Tash

https://lnkd.in/epwJ3RXQ This November, I will be taking on the Walk 30 Miles Challenge to fundraise for Cancer Research UK (CRUK). My mother’s cancer story isn’t something I usually share, because I used to think it was not my story. Even though it has almost been two years since she was treated, I’ve recently realised that it has left a lasting impact on me. We were lucky for it to have been a fairly quick diagnosis and treatment with a huge support system of family and friends. However, I’ve recently heard stories and met people who weren’t as fortunate as we were, and so I have decided to participate in this challenge as one of many ways of healing and giving back. Please do help support to raise money for this incredible cause, every little bit counts! I’ll be updating the site with photos and progress of my journey, and getting my friends involved too, so feel free to keep checking in! Neva Muzammil

Blizzard Entertainment and the #Overwatch community have partnered with the #BreastCancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to raise $12.3 million through the 2024 "Mercy for a Cause" campaign. This contribution is the second-largest in #BCRF's history, bringing Blizzard's total support for breast cancer research to over $25 million. Proceeds from in-game items like the Rose Gold and Pink Mercy skins support BCRF's mission. Previous efforts have funded significant advancements in diagnostics and treatments. Updates on how this year's donations will enhance life-saving research will be shared soon.

Watch my full TEDx talk on YouTube titled, "Seeing Life from a Different Lens" where I talk about the three steps I took to overcome the emotional trauma of surviving a rare childhood eye cancer called retinoblastoma and how you too can see the world through a different lens with love, empathy and compassion. My Call to Action for you: Before you donate money to childhood cancer, donate your time with other survivors. I have witnessed first hand what happens when we let connections unite us and what happens when we let our differences divide us. The former is the world I want to live in. https://lnkd.in/gAhXCgdf TED Conferences TEDX #TEDTalks
