We believe every business has a responsibility to be transparent when you’re working with them. That’s why we created a 2024 Impact Report; an open look into our steady progress and plans to make our part of the world a better place. Together with our sister studio Uno Loco, we’re on a mission to use the power of creativity to influence better outcomes for our clients, people, place and planet with four core impact principles. > For creative impact: We push the limits of our imagination. > For societal impact: We grow people to their full potential. > For environmental impact: We work with nature as a stakeholder. > For economic impact: We prove positive change is more valuable. This is a journey, and we have a long way to go yet. But these principles will help us keep on track to create a future we can all be proud of. To find out more, reach out to our team - we’d love to chat. #impact #sustainability #creativity

I challenge you to watch this video and not feel inspired. "Who would've thought that a small, impoverished community like Lawrence Weston would have built the tallest wind turbine in England? Built their own community centre? Built their own 38 affordable homes?" Mark Pepper is a true changemaker, and this video is a masterclass in climate stotytelling. 📣 No jargon, no politicised language. 💛 Human-first, personable. 💡 Platforming real solutions. My friend Matt Golding recently launched #Antidote alongside Rachel Donald, an ambitious storytelling project to cut through the doomscrolling and shine a light on the communities taking back power. You can find more videos just like this one at the link in the comments. As much as the world feels heavy, and fractured... there are countless people already leading the way. Now we just need to get their stories out there. Matt and Rachel need support getting this project off the ground; and I wouldn't be sharing it if I didn't believe its impact could be huge. #Stories of #hope founded in #agency: first the belief that we can implement the existing, affordable, common-sense #solutions to crisis, then the coming together within and across communities, and then #act on and #talk about it. What you can do: - like and share and alert sponsors - be a sponsor - be an initiator, a convener, a facilitator - join a group of people doing something on #climate, #nature, #solidarity - think and talk about what matters to you, and act on it.

🚗 There's so much to say from an environmental psychology perspective about this fascinating episode of The Daily podcast with Ana Ley (The New York Times) on why #congestionpricing was called off by governor Kathy Hochul in New York City just before it got started: https://lnkd.in/eHyknz9s 🚗 As mentioned in the episode, #Stockholm introduced it in 2006, but there were doubts about its benefits before it was implemented. Our former colleague Geertje Schuitema, together with Linda Steg and Sonja Forward, researched acceptability levels among Stockholm residents before *and* after roll out of congestion charges in a 2018 paper: https://lnkd.in/emW-qj2D 🚗 They found that people liked the congestion charge more after trying it because they were seeing the benefits like less traffic and pollution, despite initial worries: "Respondents believed the charge had more positive consequences (viz., decreasing parking problems, congestion, and #pollution) and less negative consequences (viz., financial cost increases) after the trial than they had expected beforehand." 🚗 Another relevant point is that resistance may just be a routine element of social change involving #sustainable behaviours. Pushback is a phase along the way to a #socialtippingpoint, as shown by a recent paper by Madeline Judge, Thijs Bouman, Linda Steg and Jan Willem Bolderdijk published in One Earth: https://lnkd.in/e6xPkDnb 🚗 Of course, as in the case of #NewYorkCity, politicians with term limits are concerned about that push back translating into lost votes. But studies increasingly show that many people actually want more (sufficiency-oriented) climate policy from elected officials, not less: https://lnkd.in/e_Aupbb2 (The IPCC defines #sufficiency as "policy measures & daily practices that avoid the demand for energy, land, water & other natural resources while providing wellbeing for all within the planetary boundaries" - like congestion charges, for example) https://lnkd.in/eWzrjs2K 🚗 So, while resistance may occur in the initial stages of a new policy or behavior, our studies have shown that acceptance can increase following implementation of pro-environmental policy. In New York, we may never know if the public would have accepted it, because it may never happen. #environmentalpsychology University of Groningen Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences - University of Groningen
