Help shape the future of affordable housing in Newcastle. The draft Affordable Housing Contributions Scheme is part of City of Newcastle’s plan to address the critical need for affordable housing in our community. It proposes changes to the Newcastle Local Environmental Plan 2012 that will allow council to apply conditions on certain new residential and mixed-use developments for affordable housing contributions. This is an important step towards ensuring Newcastle remains a liveable, inclusive city where everyone can find a place to call home.
