The Child Innocence Equine Experiences project is ready to be taken to the next level. We have a second horse on the premises a 3 year old half Gypsy mare. She needs training, groundwork and manners but is very intelligent, responsive and has a joyful energy. With 2 horses we can do twice as much good helping youth. Youth Visits are free of charge – we offer one visit, two visits, and a 4-month leadership program. Single visits include intake before and debriefing after with the parent or legal guardian. With so much to accomplish, we are looking to partner with a few companies that would benefit from sponsoring the youth program. Companies with values such as mental health, well-being, innovation, positivity, community, youth development and leadership. Who do you know that you can introduce me to? We offer visibility - video interviews, incorporate film on location to promote their business, display the logo here at the barn, give acknowledgement on social media, press releases, and other PR activities. We offer access to our Retreat space and horses and facilitation for training your leadership team or client recognition wellness events. Some go golfing with their clients to close deals. You can instead come Retreating with your clients here, with peaceful energy and horses you will build goodwill for sure. We offer involvement and progress updates from the youth participating in the program. We create an ecosystem where the business sponsoring the youth benefit from the stories of success, the youth benefit and the horses are well kept and happy. With operating margins hovering at historically low levels, organizations urgently require funds not only to invest in core needs like physical plants, technology and clinical programs but also to fuel growth, to drive care transformation and to address expanding priorities around social drivers of health, access, equity and well-being. This makes it critical for all of the health care organization’s financial resources to be deployed to their most effective and best use; yet many organizations still diminish the potential impact of philanthropy by using charitable dollars for initiatives outside their strategy. Given how philanthropy deployment can significantly influence a health care organization’s ability to invest in future opportunities and outcomes, organizations should pursue alignment between strategy and philanthropy. Craig's message was clear: having a platform and the ability to make a difference creates not just an opportunity, but also a responsibility. At the Rotary District 9640 Conference, Craig Foster AM shared his inspiring journey through football, his broadcasting career with SBS, and his involvement in the Matildas' landmark compensation deal. Also, his recounting of the campaign to save Hakeem al-Araibi, a young man wrongfully imprisoned in Thailand (check out the story here: https://lnkd.in/g_WbNpuX). Craig's message resonates deeply with our mission at Rotaract Australia. Rotaractors in Australia have access to resources change the world, accelerate their careers and make meaningful connections through: 1. A global network of 1.4 million community leaders, business professionals from all industries, charity founders and more through Rotary International. 2. The freedom to engage in thousands of existing charitable projects in all areas of service or even launch our own project with the support of their club and the wider Rotary network. 3. The opportunity to connect socially with like-minded people who share a passion to do more. Currently, there are fewer than 1,000 Rotaractors in Australia accessing these opportunities. In line with Craig's mindset, it is our responsibility to make sure that ALL young Australians know that these opportunities are open to them and make Rotaract accessible to all. There is no reason why there shouldn't be 20,000 or 100,000 or more Rotarators in Australia. > If your university doesn't have a Rotaract club, reach out. > If you run a youth centre that isn't connected to a Rotaract club, reach out. > If you're a local council representative and would like to know more, reach out. Over the next financial year, I am dedicated to spreading this message and expanding our reach. We have something really great here that should be accessed by MANY more young Australians. Last year, my daughter Makenna (7) took her first-ever Polar Plunge, diving into freezing waters armed with nothing but determination and a sense of purpose. What began as a wild, daring challenge turned into a mission. She raised over $1,200 for Special Olympics, impacting the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities. But this year, Makenna has taken it one step further. She’s not just participating—she’s LEADING. Her new team, the MCPolar Bears, will be braving the icy waters in Rehoboth Beach on February 2nd, and what stands out to me is how naturally she has embraced the qualities of leadership. Great leaders don’t just point the way—they inspire others to follow. Makenna’s passion and commitment have rallied a group of people behind a shared mission, reminding me that leadership is about more than authority or titles. It’s about having the courage to step forward, create a vision, and bring others along on the journey. True leadership is shown not only in the planning but in the doing—especially when the stakes are high or, in this case, when the waters are cold. Makenna’s leadership has taught me that, whether in the boardroom or on the beach, leaders make an impact by inspiring others, fostering collaboration, and driving results for a cause greater than themselves.
