#classic #classicalmusic #sarasate #ZIGEUNERWISEN #violin It is a song that Sarasate made into a solo violin song by adding various techniques and facial expressions based on various dance songs handed down among Spanish Gypsies. It requires extraordinary technique and is difficult to express, so it is said that no one could fully play this during Sarasate's survival. The first part is romantic and includes a gentle melancholy of the Gypsy. The technique full of change paints a delicate and eloquent atmosphere in the gentle rhythm. The second part is divided into themes, the first theme is a gentle undulating song, and the second theme is a dance song joy that seems to fly violently. It is a masterpiece containing the gypsy's wild blood, fierce passion, and the unique sorrow/depression flowing at the bottom.

Take a look at Hilary Hahn playing this Bach 🎻 violin solo… she makes it look effortless… she makes it look easy… she makes it look and sound beautiful. So, why wouldn't everyone want to play that piece just like her? She did it, why can't I? If I wanted to learn to play 𝘑.𝘚. 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘩'𝘴 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘢 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘝𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘰𝘭𝘰 𝘕𝘰. 1 𝘪𝘯 𝘉 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘳, 𝘉𝘞𝘝 1002 - 4. 𝘋𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦 (𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰), I could simply order the sheet music, buy a cheap violin from Amazon, and be practicing before the end of the week. Simple, right? Anyone could do it. Well, it sounds simple, and yes, technically, anyone could do it. But what is hidden in that "effortless" and beautiful performance is at least the following: 🎼 That piece is one of the most demanding solo pieces for violin ever written (process) 🎼 Hahn has probably spent more than 40,000 hours of deliberate practice and dedication (capabilities) 🎼 Every note requires impeccable technique that requires dozens of fine-tuned movements (precision) 🎼 Her violin cost more than most of us make in a year (tools) 🎼 Her bow cost more than what most of us make in a month (more tools) 🎼 The video was professionally shot and edited (teamwork) She (and her team) make it look attainable and effortless. I can tell you from my own violin adventures, it ain't easy. If you wanted to learn the violin and started with this piece, you would almost certainly be disappointed with the outcome. Why? Because you skipped all the stuff above. We make this same mistake when we pick use cases and projects to deliver in our organizations (and in our personal lives). We pick the ones we think will deliver the most value, but they are frequently the most complicated and challenging to deliver. Instead, we should start with something simpler and easier to deliver. Build capabilities and confidence; establish trust with your team that you can deliver small, incremental value… consistently. Understand the process, capabilities, precision, tools, and team that you need to build it and deliver it. Then, after you've done that for a while, pick something a little more complex and apply all that you and your team have learned to deliver a bit more value. Then, rinse and repeat. 💡 Picking the right use cases may be the most important step in any successful project. We should all have aspirational goals, we should all strive to play Bach like Hilary Hahn. But maybe let's start with a few rounds of 🎶 𝘛𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘭𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳 🎶. Your future self and your future organization will thank you. #ProjectManagement #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #LeadershipLessons #UseCases #Violin https://lnkd.in/dNwH-ewj

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring violinist Orest Smovzh https://lnkd.in/etiVz2ck Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for solo violin. Selected works will be premiered for Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with violinist Orest Smovzh. The performance will happen online in the beginning of 2025. The theme to this Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is for anything relating to punk music. For Orest Smovzh, the possibility of short works resonates with the raw simplicity of earlier punk and no wave music (the late 70s early 80s), also some later noise music (specifically Japanese of the 90s). He often describes these pieces as works that "resist elaboration, compress dramaturgy, or freeze in a brief moment". Orest also usually calls them "condensed music" To summarize: 1) Punk rock inspiration 2) Condensed pieces that compress everything the composer wants to do in one minute. Only works one-minute in length for violin will be considered. Deadline for works is December 6th, 2024
