This week our CEO, Michael Butts moderated a lively panel discussion with Anjali Gupta Reddi, Sujatha Krishnan, PMP, and Marla A. Dans about the changing responsibilities and expectations for Chief Data Officers at the CDO Magazine Leadership Summit in NYC.
The conversation centered around the evolution of the CDO (and CDAO & CAIO), offering deep insights into how the role is becoming a "Chief Strategy Officer". The role of the CDO has become more strategic with increased expectations to deliver enterprise value, often within 24 months. The current AI revolution is driving these demands. Leaders are no longer focused on optimization as with past digital transformation efforts, but instead a comprehensive overhaul of the core enterprise which requires industry knowledge, strategy, change management, and business process innovation.
These are exciting times for our data community and we’re happy to help talented professionals and companies successfully navigate these changing industry dynamics.
Thank you to all who attended and contributed to this collaborative discussion! Natalie Evans Harris, Matthew Giunipero, Beth Falder, MBA, Valerie A. Logan, Jacqueline P., Wendy Berg, Joay K.
