🌐 Our team recently delivered vital trauma care training to local medics in Northwest Syria in partnership with the World Health Organization, strengthening emergency response in a region deeply affected by conflict. We’re especially grateful to have delivered this training just before the recent escalations in violence. These moments reinforce the importance of sustainable healthcare solutions in conflict zones. Our thoughts are with the brave medics on the frontlines and the communities they serve. 🕊️ Read more🔗https://lght.ly/4h5n0h8

Investment and support of the surge capacities such as Emergency Medical Teams and RRMLs return in prompt and effective assistance to people in need and national health systems worldwide 🌏
Emergency Medical Teams (#EMT) are in the spotlight of the ongoing Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week—a unique forum for humanitarian networks and partnerships to meet and address key humanitarian issues. Did you know that there are 20 classified Medical Emergency Teams already in the WHO European Region? But that's not all! Over 50 more are currently undergoing rigorous international classification, with extensive training and mentorship supported by WHO and key partners. Building robust national emergency response capacities is a top priority for the WHO European Region, and it's a crucial pillar of the Global EMT 2030 Strategy. Now is the time for governments and donors to step up, join WHO, and invest in strengthening and coordinating surge rapid response health capacity. New HPIO Brief Explores Protection Against ACEs Harms The Health Policy Institute of Ohio has released a new policy brief titled “Protecting against the harms of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).” Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) can be traumatic, but the harms associated with ACEs are not inevitable. Protective factors are positive experiences, resources and assets, including supportive people, that can buffer children and families against the harmful effects of ACEs and trauma. They are also associated with improved health and well-being and are valuable for all people throughout life. This brief describes: Policy options to foster and strengthen protective factors at all levels Protective factors that help children and families build resilience at the community, interpersonal and individual levels Analysis of Ohio protective factors data. https://lnkd.in/gEGgYk2Y

🔬 Professional Development Alert: Training on TB and Leprosy Guidelines in Mponela 🔬 This week, I am in Mponela at the Linde Hotel, engaged in an intensive training session that focuses on the latest guidelines for the prevention and management of tuberculosis (TB) and leprosy. This training runs from April 22 to April 30 and is a pivotal step in enhancing our capabilities as public health officers. Why is this training critical? TB and leprosy are significant public health challenges that require robust and updated approaches for effective management and control. Let's continue to advocate for and participate in such educational opportunities to enhance our skills and knowledge. Together, we can make a significant impact on public health and improve the lives of those affected by TB and leprosy. #PublicHealth #TBPrevention #LeprosyManagement #CapacityBuilding #HealthcareTraining

At the conclusion of the Humantrain-Development-Peace Nexus (HDPN) training, I decided to take a #selfie (sh-photo) by making participants a background who were anticipating a regular group shot. 😂 😂 Remedying the symptoms won’t bring a lasting solution. We have to meet the immediate needs of the people who are affected by crises while pursuing longer-term solutions to bring lasting solutions to them. The two-day training was organized by the Right2Grow project in collaboration with Ministry of Health. #HDPN, #Right2Grow #FMOH, #WorldVisionEthiopia #ACF #THP #MF
