A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) lets you donate cash, stocks, or other assets to a public charity and get an immediate tax break. The money then grows tax-free in the DAF, and you have the flexibility to recommend which charities receive grants from the fund whenever you choose. It's like a charitable investment account with the benefit of public charity oversight. Have you read our recent blog on "Giving Through a DAF"? Form 10BD & Form 10BE for Charitable Donations Charitable organizations must file Form 10BD by 31st May, 2024, a statement of donations, and then issue Form 10BE to donors. Form 10BE is essential for donors to claim tax deductions under Section 80G or Section 35 of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Issuing Form 10BE of the assessment year following the donation year ensures compliance and avoids penalties. This mandatory requirement replaces the traditional donation receipts. #Form10BD #Charity #Donations #IncomeTax #Compliance #MSA #MSAssociates #Form10BE #TaxDeduction
