Ever wonder what our team gets up to when they’re not making magic at The Drake? Our 'Off The Clock' series offers a peek into their creative lives. Spoiler: they’re just as creative off-duty. Meet Ashley Tomlinson, Senior Graphic Designer at The Drake and editor/producer of the DesignThinkers Podcast. We caught up with her to chat about her passions and what makes this project stand out. “Podcasting is a different way of channelling my creativity and love of storytelling. A bonus with this project is that I got to collaborate with a good friend (Nicola Hamilton RGD (she/her), Issues Magazine Shop). On top of that, getting a front row seat to so many graphic design legends has been so special. Each episode is an opportunity to dive deep, explore different perspectives, and weave unique ideas together. It’s been a journey of learning, collaboration, and a true creative outlet. ” — Ashley Tomlinson Catch ‘DesignThinkers’ wherever you listen to podcasts, and head to www.designthinkers.com/tor for tickets to Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD)'s 25th annual DesignThinkers Conference, Nov 7 + 8.

How do you simplify a process that can be done a million different ways? I like to categorize the options to make selecting one easier. Case in point: here are 16 different types of Podcast Episode Thumbnails: - Guest-Focused Thumbnail - Host-Centric Thumbnail - Quote/Highlight Thumbnail - Podcast Brand Consistent Thumbnail - Dual Portrait Thumbnail - Topic/Thematic Thumbnail - Text-Driven Thumbnail - Minimalistic Thumbnail - Emotion-Driven Thumbnail - Illustrated/Cartoon Thumbnail - Graphic Symbolism Thumbnail - Collage Thumbnail - Episode Highlights Thumbnail - Season-Specific Style Thumbnail - Pop Culture/Trend-Based Thumbnail - Full-Brand Immersion Thumbnail The picture you see here is a "Guest-Focused Thumbnail" as defined here: Description: Emphasizes the guest featured in the episode by prominently displaying their photo, name, and title. The background and design may align with the podcast’s brand identity, but the main focus is on the guest. Example: The Joe Rogan Experience Example Summary: Thumbnails for The Joe Rogan Experience usually feature a clear, close-up image of the guest with their name displayed. This visual strategy draws attention to the individual being interviewed, making them the central point of interest. A link to each description is in the comments :)

How to run a successful podcast that your future clients or customers will actually listen to… 👇🏼 1. Gather the most frequently asked questions about your industry and it’s services or product results. 2. Research possible guests that have experience that are happy to share their perspectives as well as being able to bounce the conversation back at you. 3. Setup a decent space that doesn’t have any disruptions for recording where you can control the lighting conditions and equipment to minimise friction. 4. Have an audio & video expert that can monitor your episodes… or learn it yourself. 5. Know what equipment you need. Including mics, cameras, interfaces and software. 6. Know how to master the episodes with editing. 7. Know how to extract key points from the episodes to repurpose as clips for social media to drive more viewers and listeners to your full episodes. 8. Do this consistently on a weekly basis. Learn how to DIY or hire us to do it all for you: sev@brighttsar.com #perthbusiness #podcast

Today evening, Ranveer Allahbadia AKA BeerBiceps unveiled the new logo for his podcast, The Ranveer Show (TRS), to align with his global ambitions. However, at first glance, I was a bit thrown off—not by the concept, which I don't have enough data to critique—but purely from an execution perspective. Here’s why: First, the arrow appears too thin compared to the font, creating a visual imbalance. Second, the spacing between the initials "TRS" leaves a lot of awkward whitespace, particularly between the "T" and "R," which further accentuates the imbalance. Third, the choice of font seems to be lacking much personality despite Ranveer himself being mainstream and known for his colorful personality. Additionally, placing the brand name beneath the initials introduces potential visibility issues. While the core concept of the logo remains intact, I did notice some room for improvement in its execution. I went ahead and tried to fix some issues I have pointed out above. Which version resonates more with you—the original (left) or the redesigned one (right)? BeerBiceps Media World Private Limited #beerbiceps #TheRanveerShow #logo #podcast

One of the most fun things 🙌 about hosting and producing a show: making up new formats. To end the first full 🗓️ calendar year of Real Estate Team OS, I decided to host viewers and listeners *of* the show ... *on* the show! This week, we meet and learn from four different 🏘️ real estate professionals. Next week, we meet four more! It's not just a new format. Bringing on people 🙋♀️ we produce the show for is also a nice way to enhance the community-oriented nature of a podcast. A few basics: - they responded to our weekly, subscriber-only email - each was a 12- to 14-min conversation - the structure for each was the same three questions (one about their business, one about the show, one about the year ahead) - eight conversations were spun into two separate episodes Enjoy the season! And if you make time to check out either Ep 049 or 050 of the show, I welcome your feedback!

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫. Are you using it? Every great brand and podcast starts with a story. A story that 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬. But sharing your story can feel tricky.
