Helping Organizations Develop Their Leaders - Leadership Facilitator, Keynote Speaker, Podcast Host

This summer, I wrote an article titled “Lead From Anywhere” for ATD Magazine. The idea for the article came from a presentation I did last year at ATD ICE in New Orleans on a similar topic that encouraged talent professionals, regardless of title, role or where they sat on the org to embrace leadership to drive greater impact. Delighted to share that my article was published but also, was the cover for the fall edition of the magazine! The concept for the article came from the numerous talent practitioners I’ve worked with, who have embraced the concept of leading from anywhere to build better relationships, drive greater team results and scale their individual impact by focusing on building relationships and prioritizing collective success. Thanks to Association for Talent Development (ATD) Magazine for embracing my ideas and the handful of partners with whom we’ve delivered the Lead From Anywhere Program to inside organizations. And if you’re someone who also believes in the power of leading from anywhere, I’d love to hear how you're encouraging this mindset within your organization!

That's amazing, Al Dea! It IS possible to build trust and get things done in collaboration with others when you aren't colocated. When done well, when you DO get to be in the same place at the same time, it's almost surreal that you've never met in person, because you know each other so well and truly care about each other. It takes effort, though, and not all people are naturally confident enough for that type of leadership. Happily, it can be learned -- most easily when well modeled. Congratulations on your publication!
