Raising Awareness for Apprenticeships in the UK Business Market At Go Live Data, we’ve discovered that many UK businesses are unaware of the incredible funding opportunities and benefits that apprenticeships offer. Over the past four years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to bridging this knowledge gap by partnering with colleges and independent training providers to proactively approach local business owners. By engaging directly with these businesses, we’ve been able to raise awareness and spark meaningful conversations about the value of apprenticeships. Many business owners were surprised to learn about the untapped potential and support available to them, and we’re proud to have played a role in opening their eyes to these opportunities. As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to continue our mission of educating and empowering businesses to take advantage of apprenticeship programs. Together, we can create a more skilled and dynamic workforce for the future. #Apprenticeships #UKBusiness #GoLiveData #WorkforceDevelopment #BusinessGrowth

Dawn Hale, our Quality Director at Next Step Apprenticeships, recently attended the inaugural FE Skills Providers Forum. This important event, which was chaired by Bella Sankey, the Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council, brought together key figures from the Further Education and skills sector to address pressing challenges and opportunities in the region. During the meeting, the discussion centred around the skills gaps currently faced by employers and learners in the Brighton & Hove area. Attendees explored not only the challenges but also the exciting opportunities for improvement and growth in the sector. With the job market evolving rapidly, the forum provided a platform for collaboration between education providers, local businesses, and government representatives. Dawn represented Next Step Apprenticeships by sharing insights on the critical role apprenticeships play in developing a skilled workforce. She also highlighted how our commitment to quality training can help address the skills shortages and provide real career opportunities for young people and job seekers in the area. Moving forward, the forum opened up discussions about how to better support both apprentices and employers, and how partnerships like ours can continue to contribute to the region’s economic development. Did you know the UK Government Fully Funds Apprenticeships for Small Businesses? The UK government is fully funding apprenticeships for small businesses, covering the entire cost of training for individuals up to the age of 21. With an investment of £60 million, this initiative aims to create 20,000 more apprenticeships. Additionally, large employers paying the apprenticeship levy can now transfer up to 50% of their funds to support other businesses, including smaller firms. This move is expected to reduce costs for businesses and provide more opportunities for young people to kick-start their careers.
