As I was always taught by my mentors, there is a dream a struggle and a victory. You have to have a dream to make a dream come true there will be a struggle, but you promised a victory. Small dream, small struggle, small victory, big dream, big struggle, big victory. The painful reality is people have a big dream and they want a small struggle and a big victory however that is not the reality.

I think it's actually a mix: you want to do something better in the world and also earn money for yourself. That's a pretty healthy mix for me. If you don't care about money at all - it's a hobby. If you are too obsessed with money and don't care about anything else - well, that would be incredibly hard to build relationships and push your idea forward. Don't need to forget that business is by definition about making money, but sometimes people are not 100% honest with themselves.

yeah but when they woke up they chased the dollar— a semi joke. will you meet us half way. can we be the exception to the rule?

All of the greatest businesses that I am aware of, were built on a foundation of vision; they weren't ever originally in the pursuit of profit. Think Apple (no pun intended), Google, Airbnb, Patagonia, Starbucks and even Tesla. It’s that inner drive, that burning desire, to create something meaningful and elevate lives that leads to true success in my opinion. Great post Robert Herjavec 👏
