The most dangerous enemy of business growth isn't always external – it's the stories we tell ourselves. Want to know why even successful leaders get trapped working IN their business instead of ON it? In our latest podcast episode, we unpack 5 subtle lies that keep talented leaders stuck in the daily grind: 1. The "I got us here" lie - Your hands-on work built this, but what got you HERE won't get you THERE. 2. The "I enjoy doing it" lie - Building a self-sustaining business doesn't mean giving up what you love. It means choosing your involvement. 3. The "perfect handoff" lie - Waiting for someone to do it exactly like you do = never letting go. 4. The "I'm not strategic" lie - Strategy isn't innate. It's learned, just like every other skill you've mastered. 5. The "no time" lie - Strategic work isn't a luxury for when you're ready. It's essential for survival. Which lie resonates most with you? Listen to the full episode to discover how to transform these limiting beliefs into catalysts for growth. Listen here: https://loom.ly/EAxXnWE

𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀! Episode 1 of 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘺 & 𝘜𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 is released! Originally recorded in March, this episode has acted as a pilot episode in the process of tuning the “spirit” of the podcast. It would be embarrassing to know how many times I have re-written and re-recorded this episode over the last year. Episode 1 seeks to challenge leaders-to-be, leaders-that-are, and leaders-that-can-be-better to hone the craft. In all disciplines, improvement is fostered through timely, candid, and constructive feedback from discerning observers. For leaders, feedback is rare and rarely timely, candid or constructive. 𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘺𝘦𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘺, 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥. In the episode, I share mindsets and tactics I have employed seeking to study myself through the eyes of others, in pursuit of improving as a leader.

𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀 𝐓𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝖳𝖱𝖴𝖤 𝖮𝖱 𝖥𝖠𝖫𝖲𝖤: 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦 𝘶𝘱𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 answer: 👇🏻 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐄 While I do believe that for some, that is a main factor .. but, today, advisors move for many other reasons besides monetizing their business It’s usually due to a combination of both pushes and pulls that are motivating advisors. ▶ Pushes: advisors, even those on some of the largest teams, have been feeling the balance of power shift away from the advisor and instead towards the firm causing advisors to feel like they are losing control and can no longer run their business how they want to ▶ Pulls: advisors place a greater focus on thinking of their “business as a business.” So many are looking towards other options in order to gain greater freedom and control So while monetizing your business is a reason, it’s important that in the end, the main reason for the move is to benefit the clients and the growth of the business.
