Brazil’s tactical brilliance and relentless pressure resulted in goals from Priscilla, Gabi Portilho, Adriana, and Kerolin. Spain’s brief resurgence with goals from Salma Paralluelo and a late consolation, but Brazil emerged victorious 4-2. USA's Hard-Fought Victory Over Germany: A tactical battle with Germany's defensive setup initially frustrating the USA. Few Euro 2024 observations - Barring the Netherlands Vs Poland game, all matches have been one sided or uninteresting so far. - As per pre-tournament odds, the top four favourites to win (in order) are France, England, Germany and Portugal. - Spain and Italy may have something to say to that. However history tells us, seldom does a team from the ‘Group of Death’ go on to win a major tournament. Spain and Italy both feature in the toughest group. - The white footballer is falling behind. The Netherlands had 10 coloured players out of the 15 who took the pitch today. Compare Dutch, French, Spanish or German sides of 70s-80s (almost all white squads) and the number of coloured players representing the teams are rapidly increasing, year on year, at the cost of less white footballers. - The nonsensical injury time (3+ mins after 1st half and 8+ min after second half) started by Qatar WC 2022 and exploited by EPL last season (for higher ad rates, TRP) has thankfully been removed in Euro 2024. The players are humans first, not dollar minting machines. - Barring Foden, Pedri and Saka, the super talented, less muscular, midget player is almost non existent in Europe. For “midget magic”, await the Copa America starting next weekend - Messi, Alvarez, Enzo, Suarez, Endrick. .. - Which also means come next weekend, any sportslover will be having their legs full too. Currently my hands are full. When the 630pm Euro 2024 match gets over at 815pm, the T20 WC Cricket match starts, and both events keep almost alternating till 10am in the morning! Just one break in between, from 230am - 5am! Guess what..  the Copa America matches will be starting 330am!! #EURO2024 #copaamerica2024
