"I just don’t have the budget..maybe in a few months" A few months later: 𝘊𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘴 You hear this multiple times a week. No after no. You wonder WHY they don't see the value? When will you ever get to see Those big stripe payout notifications You've been dreaming of? You’re starting to feel hopeless And you’re tired of charging low ticket It sucks. You "give give give" You get on coffee chats But it doesn't convert And when it does You are so discouraged at that point That you lowball yourself So now, you don’t know if you should just focus on: -Getting more leads? -Posting more on linked in? -Redoing your header one more time? -Spamming more cold outreach without a plan? Netscape’s decision to release the source code for its web browser lets people collaborate and create new tools that help small businesses grow till these days. 4️⃣ March 2006: Twitter arrived, giving us all a way to talk to the world. Starting a business? Resources are tight. Just talked to Sarah. She was burning cash on 6 social platforms trying to reach tech founders. Her budget? Tiny. Her time? Even less. She did 20 customer interviews and discovered something obvious: her target customers spent 80% of their social media time on LinkedIn. She cut everything else. Zero Instagram. Zero Twitter. Instead, she wrote 2 helpful posts per week on LinkedIn and joined 3 active YC discussion threads. Month 1 results: 5 paying customers. Zero ad spend. When resources are limited, you can't be everywhere. Talk to customers, find their watering holes, show up there consistently. That's it.

This is Sean Ellis. He coined the term "Growth Hacker". He ran early growth at Dropbox, Logmein and Eventbrite. He found a leading indicator of Product Market Fit, better than the commonly used Net Promoter Score (NPS). Here is how it works 👇 Simply ask your users "How would you feel if you can no longer use the product?" You are giving them 3 options: - Very disappointed - Somewhat disappointed - Not disappointed at all Measure the percentage that answers "Very disappointed." How found that the companies that struggled to grow almost always got less than 40% "very disappointed." Whereas the companies that grew easily always got more than 40% "very disappointed." In other words, if more than 40% of your users would be very disappointed without your product, you have early Product Market Fit. This is not a brag... Back in August 2024, I started a brand new business from scratch. ❌ No website ❌ No social media presence ❌ No case studies ❌ Not allowed to leverage my existing businesses or any resources from them. I still don't have any of the above. (except a Stripe account to take payments) Here's what I did to generate £15k of revenue in 61 days. ✅ Learned a whole new skill in 3 days and created a service/offer that hit people in the feels. ✅ Spent some time nailing down my ideal prospect persona. ✅ Went on Google and called around 20-30 businesses daily, offering this skill I've learned. ✅ Some businesses were interested and gave me a shot. ✅ They were happy with the service ✅ Money came in 🙂 That's it. Keeping it simple and performing 1-3 repetitive daily tasks got the results. Nothing complicated or fancy. Bit like me really 🙂
