It's so nice to be surrounded by a group of ambitious entrepreneurs again. The Netherlands is an insanely entrepreneurial country, but sometimes, finding a community that shares the same highs and lows can be a bit of a challenge. Meet Buzz Business Networking, a networking group where these entrepreneurs can connect. In Leiden, Rotterdam, and online. 🐝 The setup is pretty commendable. Each event features an expert speaker to share insights around the topic and foster a valuable knowledge-sharing discussion. The event rounds off with speed networking and other current events in the local entrepreneurship scene. That's a lot of value for 2 hours of time. Last Thursday, I had the pleasure to be invited as the guest speaker, where I facilitated a presentation and discussion on pricing strategies: the different types, the factors affecting pricing, and tips on when and how to charge higher. 👀 Thank you to everyone who showed up for the impactful conversations! 🎉 While I was a little anxious at first that the content seemed a little basic, I soon realized 3 things: - Every now and then it's good to reflect on the basics - In the process, you can add new structure to basic concepts - The cornerstones of strategy are often simple. Tactics and complexity can come later. While I won't drop content from the presentation here, I will leave you with this: We live in an abundant universe. Here's the single smartest decision I've taken as an entrepreneur: Nope, it wasn't starting to wear hats. 🎩 But joining EO Hamburg, the local chapter of the world's biggest entrepreneurship network – the Entrepreneurs' Organization. And it's not what you think... When I first heard about it, it sounded like a cult. Strange rules and very sparse information, shrouded in mystery. Wait what!? You don't do business with each other? And you pay 10€ for every minute you're late to a meeting? That tickled my interest. To be fair, that's just the kind of rabbit hole I like to go down. 🐇 Now, seven years later, I find myself part of an organisation that isn't about the exchange of business cards but one that is truly built around unleashing my potential as an entrepreneur and as a person. Here are just a few things I'm taking away from it: 💎 Invaluable peer network on eye level 💎 Space and a path for personal growth 💎 Monthly reflection sessions with a close-knit group 💎 Deep dives on important topics in life and business 💎 Experience sharing rather than advice 💎 Inspiring International Events 💎 Connections that are turning into friendships On top of being a regular member, I've recently joined the EO Hamburg Board as communications chair in order to spread the word. This inspiring construct deserves to be known by more than just a select few. The picture shows me and Tim Hoffmeister, our local chapter president and just one of the inspiring 170 local (and 18.000+ global) members. PS. Your company needs to exceed a million € in revenue to be eligible, or a quarter of that to be able to join the accelerator program, which I also went through and loved every minute of. #network #club #personalgrowth
