#Earwax is daily life for the otorhinolaryngologist.  The potential diagnostic value of cerumen as a new and easy to gain form of a #liquid #biopsy remains largely unexplored. Colleagues from the Leibniz-Institut für Photonische Technologien and Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena show now how they could help us in the future to may be analyze diseases via cerumen #diagnostics using a portfolio of vibrational approaches such as conventional #Raman #spectroscopy or surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (#SERS) together with advanced vibrational spectroscopy techniques such as coherent Raman scattering (#CRS), i.e. broadband coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (#CARS) or stimulated Raman scattering (#SRS), as well as optical photothermal infrared (#OPTIR) spectroscopy. To all my friends, I am happily to inform that my recent paper with the tittle "Dimension Reduction Using Dual-Featured Auto-Encoder for the Histological Classification of Human Lungs Tissues" has been published in IEEE Access 2024. It presents the use of auto-encoders to improve the classification accuracy of images from histological slides. With 96% accuracy and 94% precision in labeling these images ,it can make easier to efficiently examine a huge number of histology slides, which will help with population-level research, better disease surveillance, the identification of risk factors, and the widespread adoption of preventative interventions can all result from this.
