<Not a political post> I was inspired watching, listening and feeling the sentiment and action of Michelle Obama and her husband speak last night at the DNC conference. She spoke of the hard work required individually and in community for the benefit of all, that the accumulation of individual gain is a vain pursuit if at the same time ones watching other members fail in the community we live. It reminded me of this blog I wrote about the often long declared war for talent. https://lnkd.in/g9kEefec This war has been raging in the headlines since the dot com boom, today I came across yet another post promoting if not actually posturing for battle. I'm not a fan of the talent war analogy, its divisive and ignores the facts on the ground of the people engaged in the world of work. We need to be engaged in working for solutions of sustainable employment, lifelong employability, and the outcomes that delivers to the peaceful, inclusive economy of society at large, which after all is then in turn good for each of us. What's the right thing for people at the center of work? #employability #skillsthatwork #togetherisbetter

It’s Election Day, everyone! Get out there and vote! How are you protecting the people you already have? Leadership integrity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a commitment. I recently worked with an engineering company whose owner recognized the shift in the job market. Instead of risking his best talent, he re-evaluated and raised salaries for his long-term engineers to match market rates. In a job seeker’s market, it’s essential to care for those who’ve been loyal to you. Real leadership integrity means valuing your team as much as you value growth. #LeadershipIntegrity #ProtectYourPeople #BuildingAKickAssCulture #MadeInAmerica

Leadership Lessons from President Jimmy Carter President Jimmy Carter’s legacy goes far beyond his presidency, offering timeless lessons in servant leadership, humility, and unwavering dedication to the greater good. Here’s what we can learn from his inspiring journey: 🌟 Lead with Integrity: Carter consistently prioritized ethical leadership, making tough decisions rooted in values rather than political gain. 🤝 Champion Service: His post-presidency work with Habitat for Humanity showcased the power of serving others, proving leadership is about action, not just words. 🌍 Think Globally, Act Locally: From advocating for human rights to tackling global health issues, Carter demonstrated the importance of addressing both community and global challenges. ❤️ Stay Authentic: His humility and authenticity resonated deeply, earning trust and respect across political divides. 💪 Persevere Through Adversity: Even in the face of criticism or setbacks, Carter’s commitment to peace, democracy, and social justice never wavered. Carter reminds us that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about impact, compassion, and leaving the world better than we found it.
