In my opinion, I believe this is exactly why we should still be including "equity" in the D"E" & I initiatives. We (meaning both the HR communities and anyone who is of a diverse background) have fought hard to be paid equitably for the same work. But if you are doing the D & I correctly, it is likely going to encompass the E, by including everyone and embracing all diversity. The question is, what's your goal? Just food for thought. #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #HRprofessional
Today we honor the life and legacy of Lilly Ledbetter, a trailblazer in the fight for equal pay. Her courage in speaking out against pay discrimination led to the historic Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, moving us closer to achieving fairness for all workers. Her advocacy reminds us that the fight for equal pay is far from over. Let's continue to fight for workplace equality in her memory.

As your state assembly representative, I’ll fight to close the wage gap that leaves Black women in Wisconsin earning just 62 cents for every dollar earned by white men. This disparity means Black women need to work over 7 additional months to earn the same as a white man in a year ‼️ I will advocate for legislation that mandates: ✅ Equal pay for equal work ✅ Strengthens anti-discrimination laws ✅ Funds job training programs specifically for women of color. #BlackWomenEqualPayDay
