When I first started, I did not have enough 💰 to pay my contractors. 🤦🏽♂️ I had an honest conversation with my small team that I was unable to pay them until the district paid us for services rendered. Sometimes you have to figure things out as your going through this process of launching a comprehensive educational agency. ***Educators*** Here are some opportunities: Independent contractor Educational staffing company Professional development Comprehensive Educational Agency Inbox me the word “Mentor” to explore your options at Dynamic Educators First. #EducationalAgency #StartupJourney #EdLeadership #ContractorsInEducation #EducationOpportunities #ProfessionalDevelopment #EdStaffing #MentorshipMatters #DynamicEducators #GrowthMindset #EducationCommunity #BuildingTheFuture #EducatorSupport #EntrepreneurInEducation #EdChat

Here are some transferable skills or shared competencies that are very useful in most tech roles (maybe this will give you that nudge if you were thinking about pivoting as well): 1. Analytical Thinking 2. Problem-Solving 3. Attention to Detail 4. Communication Skills 5. Time Management 6. Technical Proficiency 7. Continuous Learning 8. Teamwork 9. Ethical Considerations 10. Critical Thinking Despite the differences in specific job functions, possessing these skills provide a strong foundation for a successful transition! 😉

TRANSFERABLE SKILLS Have you ever wanted to apply for a job or respond to an EOI but suffered from impostor syndrome? Couldn't think of examples for some of the key selection criteria? Perhaps you could draw on examples from outside formal employment. Communication & interpersonal skills / dealing with difficult customers • Have you been a committee member with a local sports club? • Served on school council as a parent rep? • Advocated with multiple service providers for a family member with complex medical issues? • Negotiated shared custody of children in a less-than-friendly environment? Leadership & people management • Have you coached a sports team? • Chaired a committee or working group in the local community? • Provided formal or informal mentoring Problem solving & project management • Have you moved house? Did it involve moving schools? Was it interstate or international? • Have you transitioned family members to an aged care facility? • Have you overseen a big renovation project at home with multiple tradies? Time management & prioritisation • Does your week involve kids' sports, kids' music lessons, kids' medical and therapy appointments, driving teens to part-time work, taking aged parents to medical appointments, checking in on the elderly lady next door when you haven't seen her for 24 hours, getting to the gym, doing the washing, feeding the family, keeping the lawn mowed, and also doing your paid job?

Open enrollment isn't just about choices. It's about education. But here's the catch: your employees aren’t full-time students. 🕒 According to Aflac’s 2022-23 WorkForces Report, 3 out of 5 employees spend 30 minutes or less researching their benefits. How can we help them make better decisions in such little time? By meeting them where they are — and that means adapting to their learning style. Check out our new blog to figure out which learning style resonates with you the most 👉 https://zurl.co/VAhj You may not have signed up to be an educator, but helping employees learn is part of your role as an HR team member — especially during open enrollment. By tapping into these learning styles, you can help your team make better, faster benefits decisions. P.S. Feel free to reshare ♻️ this with your network to help others improve their benefits communication strategy.
