As an Equine Assisted Coach, how do you hear the unspoken language of horses? Here is one way . . . Listening Beyond Words In equine assisted coaching, learning to "listen" to horses involves tuning into their non-verbal cues and understanding their responses to our presence. This process requires us to slow down, become more aware, and connect with our own feelings and intentions. As we learn to interpret the silent language of horses, we develop a deeper awareness of our own inner world. Understanding Sentience and Its Impact on Equine Assisted Coaching At The Freedom Way®, we believe in the sentience of horses—their ability to feel, perceive, and experience emotions. This profound understanding is reshaping the equine assisted coaching industry. Sentience means recognizing horses not just as animals, but as conscious beings with their own emotions and insights. Our belief in equine sentience revolutionizes how we interact with and learn from these majestic creatures. By acknowledging their emotional depth, we create a more respectful and empathetic coaching environment, enhancing the transformative power of our sessions. This approach fosters genuine connections and profound personal growth for both clients and coaches. In our Equine Assisted Coach Training Program, emphasizing horse sentience is paramount. Coaches learn to honor and interpret the nuanced behaviors and responses of horses, enriching their coaching practice and deepening their own personal transformation. Soothing Anxiety or Rewarding Relaxation? When training by reward, the difference is important. Key points 1.Training horses by non-edible reward is effective and long-lasting. 2.It improves equine motivation, creating a horse who wants to learn. 3.Rewarding, separate from soothing, can also be effective with people. 4.Cognitive reasoning and verbal explanation are important when applying the lesson to people.

Equine Assisted Coaching and your pets.🐴 Equine Assisted Coaching primarily focuses on human self-awareness, communication, leadership. Horses are our teachers and guides. While Equine Assisted Coaching is specifically designed around interactions with horses, the skills and insights gained can also benefit your relationships with your other animals in your life. Horses, like many animals, rely heavily on non-verbal cues and respond or react to your energetic state. Understanding how horses mirror these cues can enhance your ability to connect with your own pets, who also depend on the energetic signature behind words. For example, if you’re anxious before a hectic day at work, your pets may also seem unsettled and unable to stay still. Alternatively, when you are relaxed and breathing slowly, your dog, or cat is more likely to feel calm and connected. The skills developed can certainly enhance the way you interact with and understand all animals in your care. #equinecoaching #hrprofessional #businessconsultant
