ISFC is proud to announce the completion of an important project on the application of DNSH principle in the Czech Republic, delivered together with our lead partner Trinomics 🌍 Thanks to the smooth collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, and the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, and with support from DG Reform, we've developed a comprehensive set of tools and methodologies to support the effective application of the DNSH principle. 🔍 Project Purpose: this initiative provides essential guidance for integrating the DNSH principle within the Czech national context, streamlining processes and providing clarity on DNSH compliance for both public and private projects seeking funding from European funds. The ultimate goal is to support sustainable investments and accelerate capital flows into environmentally responsible initiatives. 📄 Final Outputs: We’re excited to share the official methodology and guidance documents, recently published by the Czech Government. These resources are available here: https://lnkd.in/dqbAY7pD We hope these tools will provide a robust framework for the DNSH application process and accelerate the capital flows into the projects with no significant harm to the local environment. #sustainabledevelopment #DNSH #environmentalimpact #technicalsupport #ISFC #Trinomics

Feeling inspired and grateful to be part of the just concluded 5th Global land programme open science meeting (GLPOSM5). The message is clear! The emphasis is on the GLP's uniqueness and commitment to transformative change. The importance of creating just and sustainable land systems is central. The metaphor of the "blind men and the elephant” was used to illustrate the challenge of integrating diverse perspectives and research into a cohesive vision for a sustainable future. The meeting stressed collective dialogue, sharing gifts of knowledge, and reflecting on global issues like rural depopulation, land consolidation, and food system sustainability. There is a call for rethinking assumptions and pathways to better address governance challenges, local leadership, and market dynamics. The event underscores inclusivity, integrating data, remote sensing advancements, and connecting scientific insights to broader social and policy impacts. #GLPOSM5 #Sustainability #LandSystems #Collaboration #GLP #TransformativeScience #CGIAR #CIAT

You probably noticed from the recent testimonials, but 2024 has been an incredibly busy year regarding STSMs. We summarized the 22 (!!) in-person mobilities of mostly young researchers in 2024 alone in the map below. This remains the most valuable tool from COST Association - European Cooperation in Science and Technology to increase exposure for young talents, foster new collaborations, expand networks and generate new insights. Next to the in-person mobilities, 7 recipients of virtual mobility grants contributed significantly to the outcomes of FULLRECO4US.
