We are failing our kids miserably folks! We should be teaching these young men about Leadership, Sportsmanship and Humility instead of whatever this is. It’s time for a change and it starts at home with their parents. #shegone #jefffrye #Certifiedhittingguru #judythehittingguru #shegonenation

Throw a punch or return a punch, lose you spot on the team and NCAA eligibility permanently. Head Coach gets fired. Senoirs lose their diploma. Fool around, find out.

The president and the athletic director need to crack down on the coaching staff because this is a direct reflection on the college or university. Complete disrespect for your opponents. Need to curb the antagonistic behavior.

In my opinion, as a student athlete myself, it’s the lack of leadership and program the players are in. Rivalry or not, it’s a level of respect you have! College football is changing, hint NIL, everyone just seems to be entitled.

Question for you all? Do you watch hockey? Why is fighting allowed and refs just watch?

Rivalry games have a different flavor. If you don't want your rival to plant the flag defend your field by winning. With that being said, is this tame enough for you? Really just wanted an excuse to remind the Badger fans where the Axe is. All in good fun. Longest consecutive and best balanced rivalry in football. 63-63-8 after Friday. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jIwKdjqStAc

How is this any different from K-12 education (a colossal failure in large part)? Forty years ago, I couldn't wait to get to college out of 4 years of high school (like a lingering illness). Long story short, I became a physics professor. However, K-12 for me wasn't highlighted by all this bad behavior we see today. So I have both sympathy and empathy for those students today who like me 40 years ago (actually 44 years - yes, I'm) will find their way into a productive life despite the K-12 jungle from, which they will (i.e., must) escape - only to find themselves in the college jungle and their escape...

False bravado that's been fed to these players from a young age. Twenty years from now, the wise players will realize winning a football game accomplished nothing more to make a money for a bunch of people.

This is something I agree with. Too often I see posts complaining about the state of “insert sport here” and the main issue is how things are run at home. Sport reflects culture and culture is determined by what happens within each of our homes collectively.
