A Creative Director’s biggest asset is their team. Here’s the one thing I look for when hiring: Look for people who are on their way to becoming the best. What does this look like? It’s people with an insatiable passion for the work they do. They have a personal drive to grow. They seek out learning opportunities and resources. You can teach someone the tools, you can’t teach passion. Of course, they need to be able to do the job. And be a team player, ready to assist their teammates when needed. But being truly interested in the creative and how it helps drive business growth – That’s the missing link. Have any questions? Leave them below and I’ll answer. Hired a creative before? Leave a tip so we can succeed together.

You don’t have a talent or hiring problem…. You have a content problem *Hiring and recruiting is about story telling. Your next employee is looking for a Yoda to their Luke Skywalker story. Tell the story of what you are building, why you are building it, and who you are building it with and the talent will find you. Make the future employee the hero of the story. Help them see a vision of how they can fit in #hiring #recruiting #sellmybusiness #buyabusiness #businessacquisition

This could NOT be more true. And it's a mindset that I had to overcome before I was able to grow my team. Is it daunting to hire? Yes. Will it always work out? No. But does it allow you to help more people and create a bigger impact? Absolutely. So why would hiring someone make you any less? It doesn't. We all have zones of genius that we operate from. And yours could be strategizing launches running operations creating new offers showing up as the face of your company My zone of genius revolves around establishing powerful brand messaging and then crafting compelling copy that upholds that messaging. Which in turn, helps my clients facilitate seamless launches, sell-out their programs and truly connect with their audiences. Hiring other people to help you with the tasks that fall *outside* your zone of genius (think admin, copywriting, design, operations, etc.), allows you to amplify what you are truly great at... And outsource everything else that doesn't light you up Just imagine what it would be like to have team of trained appointment setters...? Do let me know if you are interested for a short call to learn more about the DFY Process?

The Flip tells such incredible stories about the problems startups and other ecosystem builders are trying to solve. Their videos are so insightful. If you have the skills listed below then take this opportunity to work with Justin Norman.
This year has been a great year of growth for The Flip - and we're hiring to take things to the next level! We have a few roles we're looking to fill. The first, and most pressing, is - 🎬 Creative Producer to assist me with the production of our narrative-style docuseries. We've leaned heavily into video this year and published some really high-quality visual stories that I'm very proud of. We have a growing backlog of episodes to produce and publish, and I need help! The other roles we're looking to fill include: ⚙️ Operations Manager to build the systems and processes we need to scale. 🤝 Partnerships/BD Associate to help us further prospect and close partnerships. 🚀 Growth Marketer to pour some fuel on top of what we're already doing. If you're interested in one of these roles, please apply here: https://lnkd.in/eQu2_NVb And if you know anyone who should apply for this, please share it with them or tag them below 🙏

Do you have an A-Player on your team? Here is how you know: They’re deeply engaged in your vision. They don’t just work for your company.. They believe in it. These are the people who stick with you, take risks, and grow alongside you. At the start of your journey, you need partners, not just employees. People who say, “Yes, I believe in this mission.” “Yes, I’ll take this chance with you.” Ask yourself: Do you have A-players on your team? Or are you just hiring for skills?

"What can you do other companies can’t? Why should we hire you? 🤔 Along the way, in figuring it out, I made a huge mistake… Naively, I assumed people would know what producing huge TV shows, brings to the branded and corporate world. And that was my bad, so recently I decided to write it down, spell it out so here goes… Audience – We have spent our entire careers creating content targeted to specific markets: age, gender, and geographic location. Storytelling – Producing shows like TOWIE, Big Brother, The X Factor, and Celebs Go Dating means we understand not just how to tell a story but how to expand upon it. Believe me, this is an art. 📺 Casting – Rigorous casting processes have made our instinct at spotting talent sharp. 🎬 Creatives – We have developed hundreds, if not thousands, of different creatives for new shows, existing shows, and segments of shows. Everyone deserves their own new ideas.💡 Execution – We love the toys, gadgets, new techniques, and pioneering new shooting styles. But more than anything, we know how to make films look incredible. 🎥 Work out yours. Write it down. Ask clients why they like to use you, ask your friends, family anyone. Spend time thinking about it as you don’t need the answer straight away but do work out yours. Here is a bit of what makes us different…

Funny how one moment you've convinced yourself that running a business is the way forward after years of adapting to the corporate world you once existed in. And the next... You've had the first truly honest conversation with your nearest & dearest and remembered what once made you truly happy. Which is why I'm asking for your help! It's time to do what makes me happy, rather than what makes me money. I am looking for two things: 1) Representation on my existing & future projects (listed in my profile), so please do tag literary agents 2) Experience within the TV/Film, Literary or Games industries that will allow me to flex my creative muscles, so please do tag hiring managers/recruiters Thank you in advance. This has lifted such a weight from my shoulders. I'm 34 for Pete's sake - better late than never!

Why You Should Hire Folks from Television/Entertainment/Production. Video link - https://lnkd.in/dWgatwY2 As an Executive Producer with years of television experience working in Unscripted, Documentary and Reality, I regularly hold group meetups and make tutorial videos to help junior production team members learn more about all things production: the industry, field and post processes, working with networks, etc. But this video is for people working in other industries - recruiters, hiring teams, HR managers, anyone responsible for hiring new staff. I want you to understand the current situation in the entertainment industry, the number of production folks currently looking for work, the broad skill set they can bring to your team and why you should hire them. Over the past year, the need for changes in the industry surfaced in many different ways. As a result of strikes, mergers and financial constraints, the entertainment industry is not in a good place, and Unscripted Television has come to an almost complete halt. (Sidenote: Unscripted does not have a union, and there are few to no protections.) Production folks from all departments have been out of work for months, projects are not getting the green light, and online production groups are filled with people (of all experience levels) looking for work and sharing personal stories of financial challenges. Many are selling their homes, limiting family activities, living off of credit cards…let’s just say it’s an overall unfortunate situation. For those of you outside or unfamiliar with the entertainment industry and the layered process of putting together any type of production, I’m not sure that it’s clear how strong, resourceful, diligent, adaptable and reliable production folks are. (And yes, we’ve got a little OCD with some perfectionist tendencies on the side as well.) This video details the broad strokes of production and the collective responsibilities handled by team members. I hope you’ll watch. I hope you won’t overlook resumes filled with entertainment experience. And I hope you’ll reach out to me if I can either tell you more or help connect you to this incredible pool of talented people. #recruiters #hiringmanagers #recruiter #talent #hire #hiring #jobopportunity #entertainmentindustry #job

The #1 biggest issue agencies face is getting clients. The #2 biggest issue is… Building a team of superstars. Hitting 7-10k MRR won’t be hard with time. The REAL issue is once you’re tied up with fulfillment, WHO you’re going to bring in to help you reach level 2. Anyone can hit 7-10k MRR but then they’re working full-time to fulfill. The struggle that doesn’t get talked about is how to hire superstars who’ll learn how you work & let you focus on what’s important: Scaling & refining your systems. Because remember: Scaling at the cost of your service quality is wasted potential. Do it slowly so you can maintain your core principles in what you offer. Why did I post this? I am in that exact position. So… If you’re looking to join a young driver team & help us reach level 2 as a Social Media Director at Sprout, shoot me a message! Job description: https://lnkd.in/gDvs8q6f Agency Owners: Do you agree?
