IF I CAN DO TODAY, I NEVER WAIT TOMORROW! MY OPINION IS THAT THE TIME IS GOING FAST. When I saw o-p-p-o-r-t-u-n-i-t-y on this amazing bus I immediately start. Why I am start! Like you know I am real estate agent and o-n-l-i-n-e bus owner. I really love my primary j-o-b but I saw I can not go fast in the r-e-t-i-r-e-m-e-n-t and real estate s-a-l-e-s becomes not stable. I told myself I need something stable, I need additional i-n-c-o-m-e, and I found this dig bus. I was so tired of running all day long, then go home to sleep, and tomorrow same again. The life is not just p-a-y-i-n-g a bills, I got a f-r-e-e-d-o-m f-i-n-a-n-c-i-a-l-l-y, and now I can spend more time with the family and friends, more travel, and schedule my time how I want. This is a legal business and system work for me when I sleeping. I didn’t have any experience when I start, training is provided, web site is provided, no selling involved, no bugging. I saw who is w-o-r-k-i-n-g, become s-u-c-c-e-s-s-f-u-l. I saw that people here go in r-e-t-i-r-e-m-e-n-t with 23 years. I saw that here a people even at the age of 70. I speak a lot about burnout, especially for nonprofit leaders. That’s because burnout levels have been rising, not declining, since COVID, and I don’t think we are giving this issue the attention it deserves. 🎅🎄🤶 Planning Ahead 🎅🎄🤶 It’s the middle of August, and I hope everyone is finding time to get away from the desk, relax and enjoy the best of the Irish summer!! But autumn is not too far away, and we all need to give some thought to the last quarter of the year and what we need to do. I’m glad to report to you that Santa is already doing that, and I’m proud to say that he’s tentatively offered me a job! Well actually, LinkedIn in has suggested a job for me - working as an elf in Santa’s production plant in Longford! LinkedIn has suggested some interesting jobs to me in the last month or so, but realistically, I don’t think this one’s for me, so I think I’ll take a pass. But seriously, it’s good to see that Santa is looking ahead, looking at what he needs to do, and is building a team around him to make sure he meets those important year-end deadlines. If you have ever spent time with me out and about you know I like connecting and getting to know new people. On Sunday I traveled down to the St. Pete area for work and while watching my beloved Buffalo Bills I met some locals who are in their 70s. That may be an odd descriptor to include, however, it is relevant to this story. I was invited to come back to the same beach bar last night to join them for Trivia Night. What I experienced last night was a moment that highlights exactly why senior living communities are an incredible living option. There were drinks, there were laughs, there was brain power (recalling history, films, music, and more), and most importantly there were connections. Many of the people in attendance have been going to this Trivia Night for many years. For some people it is trivia that brought them together and now they are close friends. Many look out for one another in different ways from tech support to daily check-ins. What I observed was senior living without walls. Does this put us out of business? No. It gives us opportunity. It supports that what we offer is desired. Here is another opportunity....number one question asked of me this week by many of my new friends...."What's it really like in one of those places?" Simple to answer...."Look around at what we are doing right now." Senior Living Engagement peers.....TRIVIA NIGHT IS WHERE IT'S AT! Get a professional to come in and facilitate it. Tell Sales and Marketing so they can include prospects. Tell residents to invite their friends. Tell Dining to have a fun drink special (and yes charge for those drinks). Boost your brain, boost your bonds, boost your brand, boost your bottom line. I'll step off my soapbox now. But only for a moment.
