🔐 The Woolf Group (TWG) is shedding light on the 'Control' aspect of substance use disorder in our latest blog post. 🔐 Control, or rather the loss of it, is a defining characteristic of addiction. Individuals may start using drugs voluntarily, but addiction can strip away their ability to regulate usage, leading to a destructive cycle. Often, when we think about SUD and losing control, we think of a slippery slope. Once that addiction is started it is very difficult to catch yourself as it would be difficult to stop yourself down a slippery slope. 🔄 Our post delves into the challenges of maintaining control and the factors that contribute to this loss, such as changes in brain function that affect decision-making and self-regulation. 🧠 A staggering 40-60% of people relapse after treatment due to this lack of control, highlighting the need for comprehensive support and effective recovery strategies. 📊 We invite you to read our blog post to gain a deeper understanding of the 'Control' factor in drug abuse and join us in advocating for solutions that can break the cycle of addiction. 📖 Together, we can empower individuals to regain control and move towards a brighter, healthier future. 💡💚 #TWG #Control #SUD #Recovery #BreakTheCycle
