In road rehabilitation projects, efficient material management is key to cost savings and sustainability. Recently, we leveraged QGIS to calculate the volume of reusable base, subbase, and subgrade materials within existing pavement structures. By integrating GIS technology with detailed pavement data, we can accurately assess which materials are reusable, significantly reducing the need for new materials and promoting environmental sustainability. This approach not only enhances project efficiency but also helps in achieving more sustainable infrastructure development. Key benefits: Precise volume calculations of reusable materials Cost-effective material management Environmental sustainability through reduced material waste Enhanced planning for road rehabilitation projects With the power of QGIS, road rehabilitation projects can achieve better outcomes while reducing environmental impact. It’s a great example of how technology can help shape the future of infrastructure! #QGIS #RoadRehabilitation #Sustainability #Infrastructure #Construction #GIS #CivilEngineering #Innovation

Measuring #CarbonImpact before #commissioning requires an in-depth knowledge of the fundamental use of the #infrastructure, which can only be accomplished in close collaboration with the client. The Massongex-Bex-Rhône (MBR) project, which is a run-of-river hydro infrastructure, needed to have an exhaustive understanding of the #CarbonFootprint resulting from the project, to assess and validate working hypotheses, and ensure consistency of the results. Learn how dss+ supported #MBR in the journey: https://lnkd.in/d5AVTWuX
