Let's start with the obvious: blogs aren't newsletters. People don't tend to expect newsletters to focus on a single topic for 1000 words or more. But you can repurpose your blog posts as newsletters. How? Use one longish section of your post or two short sections as the starting point for your newsletter. If your writing style, like mine, is fairly conversational, you may not even need to tweak it much. When you repurpose posts like this you need to make sure to ✖ remove any mentions of previous posts ✖ break up any long paragraphs Why should you break up long paragraphs? To keep them from looking like a wall of text when read on a phone. Since you probably won't use the whole blog post in the news letter, you can get 2 or 3 newsletters from a single post! Weird newsletter mistake 🔪 no one (usually?!) realizes is a newsletter mistake: ~ Using the word "I" more than the word "you." ~ If the # of "I's" outnumber the "you's," you're not writing a newsletter, you're writing a diary entry. 💛 Example: https://lnkd.in/emuy5cNa
