We have been introduced to society. A few weeks ago we informed you about our incorporation in CEP - Centro Español de Plásticos. Now, they introduce us to the rest of the partners, as well as Nexeo Plastics and Zeper. Get to know the road we have traveled and where we want to go: INERTIM RESEARCH, S.L. was founded five years ago as a company focused on the design and development of #mechatronic systems for the #automotive industry, in which talent, #innovation and passion for a job well done are the differential tools to make a difference. differential tools to drive growth in a to drive growth in a highly competitive highly competitive market, such as the transportation and automotive and automotive market. In its first five years, Inertim has produced more than 500,000 electronics and 1 million units of mechanical systems in more than 30 projects with multiple customers, including sunroofs, tailgate structures and electronic locks. Today, 100% of the electronics of the HCMF Group, a Taiwan-based company in the automotive sector with a turnover of more than 1 billion USD/year, are designed in Spain by Inertim. At its R&D Center in the Villalonquejar Industrial Park in Burgos, Inertim has participated in important projects such as important projects such as Rupthermat: Research and Development of Ultralight Structural Thermoplastic Materials for their Application in Semi-Structural Automotive Components, in collaboration with the CIDAUT Foundation. Likewise, within the PERTE VEC-I initiative, it formed part of the SoNNMESyC Consortium, with the R&D project: Innovation in Manufacturing Processes for Low Weight Thermoformed Components. We recently obtained certification in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environment (ISO 14001: 2015) and will soon be certified in Information Security and Privacy Management Systems (ISO 27001: 2022). All these standards are internationally valued and highly demanded by global automotive and transport manufacturers for which Inertim will be a direct supplier with products that will start to be produced in 2024 at its headquarters in Spain.

𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄’𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: A recent study by VDMA and Porsche Consulting provides extremely exciting insights into the strategic development of the global battery market. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀: The shift in mobility and energy offers an unprecedented opportunity as the market for battery cells is set to grow from 20 billion Euros to 550 billion Euros in less than a decade. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀: Europe is in a difficult position compared to Asia. Currently, Asia holds a 92% market share in the production of battery equipment, while Europe is at 8%. The crucial question is whether a second battery cluster will emerge outside Asia. According to the study, a viable cluster must grow to a market share of 20%. For this to happen, European and North American manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and public institutions must work closely together. If this does not happen, Asia will extend its lead and maintain its dominant position. We hold the cards ourselves, and the hand is a good one with much potential. In the end, we will only win the game if all the involved parties – manufacturers, machine builders, research, and politics – play together and thus form a cluster.
